He has ment to have offered £33M to the bank then take it from there as in to give money to other people e.g murray.

He is suppose to be apart of a group called RFC Holdings who want to buy the club.

I hope its not true have you read about what he wanted to do with QPR scary.

aye mate, but they are saying on clyde 1 that all the talk of them moving from ibrox and murray park is nonsense. By the way dont start moaning and that if i am wrong just saying what Darrell King and DJ are saying on Clyde 1

(tu) no problem lad i can't get that here so keep me updated, i just hope its good for the future of Rangers thats all.

Still holding my breath :pipe:

Sorry to the OP, but we've had a schmillion takeover threads in the last few months so when a new poster comes on, it's not a surprise it's met with a great deal of skepticism.

Next week should be very interesting indeed- I don't know much about this Ellis guy, but I wouldn't use his plans at QPR to try and predict how he would run Rangers.

Wonder why its taken so long for people to be interested in us all at the same time aswell.

Like someone said earlier they were prob waiting to see how we done in the league.

Still good news that people are interested in buying us atlast

Don't think we could be moved from Ibrox, its a listed building.

Why are people talking about Murray Park going aswell? - a decade or so ago they tryed to get permission for housing there and it was knocked back because the area couldn't fascilitate housing.

As long as someone buys the club, signs up new contracts for the people who need them, clear the debt and give wattie some cash, and lets the club go on the way it has been, it will be fine.

People forget that Rangers acquired a fair amount of land around Ibrox.

Used properly by someone who specialises in that area (as Ellis does) I imagine it could be worth some money

The guys plans for QPR weren't so bad. They resided in an area where the demographic was not beneficial to the team and the stadium needed serious redevelopment. Neither criteria applies to us.

it may or may not happen but what really saddened me was the treatment of boss3 by some members on this thread

on behalf of RM i would like to apologise for the treatment you received on this thread and hope it hasnt put you off using the site again

Aye apologies, but I hope he understands the amount of pish we've heard in the past like this so can you really blame people for being sceptical?

What the hell am I apologising for? I never said a word!

I kind of meant apologies on behalf of the abusers, im sure they will be keeping quiet anyway.

I believe this story would only have been leaked if SDM wants to flush out other bidders as opposed to settle with this Ellis guy.

There will be no Casino, Glasgow never won the bid (think it was blackpool that did - but the govt changed their minds on casinos anyway)

Boss3 - thanks for taking he time and effort to come on RM and share with your fellow bears your insight. hope you understand we get chancers quite a bit and sorry you were confused with the later.

This thread has been fucking embarrassing for people getting slagged just for suggesting a buyer is interested. It's annoying when stories turn out not to be true but people shouldn't be fuckin abused by other fans just for sharing any news that they might have heard about our club, even if it is just hearsay.

I think the property development is just coincidental with regards to this interested party, certainly at this stage anyway. What this club needs is stability and security for the future and that isn't gained in speculative property development.

Any investor that comes in will have to demonstrate their commitment and ability to stabilise this club through firm unencumbered cash / assets and a water tight business plan.

His apparent property development interests and skills could perhaps come into play further down the line but that would seem a long way off.

Forgive me for being paranoid again, but I feel another split the supporters moment coming on. We have just locked away in our skeleton-cupboard the "enemy within" "truth and clarity" protest divide, when this potential disruption lands on the intray.

But this time I don't mind my supporter strings being pulled by unseen hands, I can't see any London property developer having our teams best interest's at heart, rather he will his bank balance best interest's at heart.

So in the next few weeks when we are getting worked up on the forums, to the point of protest. By posters claiming 'asset stripping' 'the rape of our club' 'Ibrox luxury flats development' 'club to move to the east end' scare stories. I for one wont be asking who's pulling our strings this time, but "here's my strings start pulling"

"ibrox luxury flats" do me a favour have you been down there recently

the whole area is a dump apart from our ground

to make money they would need to make 1,000,000,000 flats and sell them at £75 each

Thank feck for that then, cos the 'the ground and the area around it' in the East End is a complete midden.
