We were never going to win any bidding war with Blackburn especially with Thompson giving them pfeffered bidder status. Our last bid should be just lagging Blackburn after all we don't want to push the price up any higher. Wether it was last night or today sometime, David goodwillie will have been made aware of the contract offer availiable to him should he sign for the rangers.The ball is now firmly in his court. if he wants to come he walks away from the Blackburn deal this leaves dun utd 2 options. 1 keep an unhappy player and lose much needed income 2 deal with the only other club interested ( rangers) I believe this to be as good a guess as anybody else has said about what's happening and if true it is a shrewd bit of business by mr whyte.
