Unpopular Thoughts/opinions About The Rangers

Walter Smith does not deserve to be a 'Sir' for 2 reasons:

1. Despite being one of the top spending sides in UK/Europe (1st stint), he has barely won a European tie outside 92-93 (when he was forced to sign Scots instead of european journey men) or 07-08

2. He is not capable of blooding or developing young players. He has admitted as much in interviews since managing Rangers.

Also, we missed the boat with PLG. Should have backed him against the monster much crew.

you must be joking. He certainly deserves a knighthood, he's given to sport more than many others to have recieved it.

he mastered how to win the SPL. Wasn't prepared to risk that to push on to the next level but maybe that is our fault as fans.

he has an OBE.

These are given out for a persons dedication & services in their life.

He had a playing career spanning 20 years.

He cut his cloth at Scotland u19, then 21's. Managed Rangers. Achieved a 65% win league, delivered 9IAR.

Managed Everton in the premiership. Was assistant to Alex Ferguson. Managed the country for 3 years. Came back to us and won 3IAR despite heavy financial cuts & reached a european final. Delivered an outstanding trophy haul of 21 to Rangers.

He more than deserves it for what hes given the sport in his lifetime.

This Thread gives us the chance to understand those who are anti-Rangers, by thinking as they think.

Doing this does not mean we are anti-Rangers, or make us anti-Rangers, it is just playing a role, in short, acting.

Know Thine Enemy.

The "amazing atmosphere" at Ibrox is a myth. The only area there is any singing is Broomload front, anywhere else in the stadium there is literally no singing at all.

Rangers should have nothing to do with Chelsea FC whatsoever, apart from recent years they are nothing compared to Rangers, and are a bunch of racists to top it off, we shouldnt be trying to cling to other teams and sets of fans. Ive never heard or seen any kind of show of solidarity from Chelsea fans so dont see why some gloryhunters in our support choose to go on about this "Blues Brothers" nonsense.

I don't really bother about any other side anywhere but branding Chelsea "racists" is a bit daft! Wr must be the same then
