Also, apparently the 180k figure is the end figure which includes bonuses and signing on fee etc. Basic wage £125-140k. Makes more sense. Theres a difference going from smaller wages to much improved wages. Someone getting 80/100K more a week than what they previously earned as a basic salary and who was not even a success at his previous club would have been a shambles. I already added in that it looks like that figure includes sign on fee, bonuses etc which makes much more sense. Some reports were suggesting there was also a big sign on fee which would have been crazy. £125k a week is much more realistic as a basic salary for Lingard. The very fact that thinking Lingard is worth £125k a week is fucking mental. The English game is just in a weird fucking place. I think he is chancing his arm and probably going to get it, at least a package worth close to what he is demanding, even if the signing on fee is included.
