STEPPS BOY 74,032
1 goal in pre-season/competitive games from our strikers is poor.We miss dare I say it a 'Boyd' type striker.
A-Dawg 172
Does anyone know if he crossed himself? Would make for a better thread.
TravelingWilBEARy 4,319
Was disappointed with the all the long high balls we punted up to him looking for a flick on as predicted by the RM doom merchants.......
Albertz85 941
Excellent hold up play, decent both in the air and with ball at his feet. Hopefully stays fit.
JMorrison1872 320
I don't think half the posters have ever played football. To say Daly missed a sitter is insane, the speed the ball came off the bar and he had to lean back to get his head on it, only people who have regularly played football will know its a hard one to pull off.Thought Daly's hold up play and strength was excellent today and can't fault the guy at all. He has a lot more to show and I'll eat my hat if he doesn't score 20+ this season.
JM1872 3,714
Good game from Daly today. Controlled passes into any part of his body whether it be in the air, on the chest or to feet. Very impressed with him.
pewpew 16
Good game today looked like the kind of striker we have been needing for some time now.
Getstiffed 8,863
Think he means the one off the bar and Daly headed onto the roof of the net. Hardly a sitter I'd agree.Even with his range he was stretching. I'll stick my head on the line and say if it was 8 games into the season he might have been able to adjust a little further and get more on the ball. Cracking front man performance, won every out ball and every lay off/header landed at a blue jersey.
Misteral 2,932
A very good signing, Ally. One John Daly, there's only......................

Dennis 1,011
There where players who played much better than Daly, but don't let that get in the way the gushing praise some feel he warrants.
jayzer 36
He is a Rangers player, we support him as we support all Rangers players, he is part of the family.WATP.
Dan Deacon 55,423
If he scores about 10 or more goals but sets up around the same I'm sure we will consider it a good season for him this year
Getstiffed 8,863
Can I just say that I'm glad Jons performance and the praise he's received has pissed a few people off.
Ger77 742
A proper front man who really knows the position and leads the line well.Perhaps a contridiction in terms but to me he's a clever player who is also happy to chase lost causes.

Smile 26,610
Played well today but so did a number of players i think he's being used a bit by posters to try to expose some religious divide on the forum rather than mention his play today. SK Rfc 557
Was critical when we signed daly but went down to bristol and watched the game today on tv. Will be surprised if i dont end up admitting i was wrong. Cant remember the last time i actually enjoyed watching us bar motherwell last season. This season is looking promising. Long may it continue. Optimism feels good

Dutchy 1,200
Agreed. A great performance for the team today, only thing missing for him was I would have liked him to score a goal, but I'm sure they'll come and he'll do well this season.
