insider 123
Got to stick with ally I think. We may not be paying pretty football but we're going up the leagues and getting some cup success on the way. Slow and steady wins the race....... elephants stoned 2,994
Real candidates maybe Billy Reid, McInnes, McCall, Butcher ect. Fantasy candidates AVB, M Laudrup probably even Billy Davies right now.
Mr Soprano 13,964
If we offered McInnes a similar contract to McCoist's I think he'd take it. Seen him in the Hugo Boss shop last week funnily enough.
1st_Jan_1994 4,868
I'd like to see Richard Gough given the job. I think he would be a very good manager given the opportunity.Richard we are a new club Gough? Get him to fuck Davies or McInnes or Ian Murray wee dark horse would be lovely

Shetland 76
I could do it, won the Champion League with Elgin in Football Manager and followed it up 2 years later with a La Liga, Copa del Rey double with Racing Santander!
ArchibaldLeitch 380
Since we are in fantasy land here.Frank lampard as player/manager.

wearethepeople1 3,897
Realistically I'd say its between McCall and McInnes
Corky True Legend 2,682
Realistically we must advertise. I would go for one of the managers whose side has given us a fright in the last two years as we are looking to cut costs. Big names are not going to come to us for at least two years. I nearly shat it when Wallace was appointed manager. Only really knew of him as "that keeper who put us out the cup", but, by God, he was some appointment.Rangers, my team not my project. StewGer 606
If real life was like Football Manager I'd be a shoe in But as it happens if we must have change then get somebody with a long term vision for a passing game from the youth up. murray1012 9
I would bring back big Eck he did sign some diddies granted but he got the job done on less of a budget than some others.
ready1873 3,952
I'll be honest, Big Eck is not a bad shout at all.
rfcfraserrfc 262
Bring in Ally McCoist. Heard he's romped two leagues, unbeaten and in with a shot of the treble. Would be my choice.
Mor3los_1 3,672
I would bring back big Eck he did sign some diddies granted but he got the job done on less of a budget than some others. The fact we finished 3rd still haunts me.
TAFKA 545
Mcinnes just signed a bumper deal with the sheep. He is essentially now more costly than any of their players. He is a non starter for us.This is exactly where King can do a "Dermot Desmond" and sponsor/fund this move personally. If King gets a big say (not chairman or CEO, but lots of influence) and McInnes is the unanimous choice, dealing with the sheep will not be a problem.Still McInnes, Davies, Pressley, Butcher, Adams in that order. Just too early for Ian Murray.Mentioned Stevie Clarke earlier but not sure where he is these days.

scouseblue 148
Mcinnes just signed a bumper deal with the sheep. He is essentially now more costly than any of their players. He is a non starter for us.Has he signed ?I don't claim to know anything about inside Rangers but I was in company of someone the weekend that knows Mcinnes' situation very well. A deal was on the table and the chairman was anxious to get it signed before the final but it wasn't done. The negotiating point was on how much it'd cost for him to be released he's allowing his people to deal with the financial details but their advice is a prohibitive release is to be avoided. Interesting enough they also think there is an English club that may be interested at the end of the season.I think McInnes is going to be an excellent manager and if the job ever came up the club would be crazy not to have him right at the top of the list.
