"the Clean Sweep"

The Rangers Trophy cabinet consists of (domestic):

Scottish Championships

Scottish Cups

Scottish League Cups

Scottish Division 3 Champions

Scottish Division 2 Champions

This season is our last chance (unless we fail to get promoted or are relegated in the future) to achieve "the clean sweep" of winning every available trophy, which is missing;

Scottish Division 1 (Championship)

Scottish Challenge Cup (Petrofac)

How important is it to you we win "the clean sweep", and does anyone know if a "clean sweep" has ever been achieved before anywhere else in the world? (Celt*c sweeping between the 70's-90's doesn't count).

Aren't there lower leagues/divisions/cups?

We are Rangers, we should aim to win every competition we enter, for me winning the challenge cup is just as important as winning the Scottish cup or league cup. That's what makes us the greatest club in the world. Not winning the challenge cup in 4 attempts or failing to win the championship at the 2nd attempt would be a major riddy for a club of our stature.

The only trophy in Scottish football missing from our trophy cabinet is the Petrofac Training Cup.

The challenge cup never bothered me in the slightest. It was a cup that should have been an opertuinity to play all the kids as i believe the rules are not as stringent as the other cups ie: must play full strength team etc.

The challenge cup has been made into something it's not due to our bumbling buffoon ex manager.

The Scottish Championship trophy we've won more times than any other club in Scotland, 47 times to be exact. The only trophy in Scottish football we've still to win is the challenge cup.

We enter it, we want to win it, simples.

Would be good to get back into the habit of winning Cup Finals.

However I have only three main aims for this season, to get promoted is a must, to see the infrastructure of the football operation being put together properly and for the first team to play entertaining, attacking football.

The NIFL is a semi professional league, however I don't think that makes much difference. We have won more trophies than any other club in world football, does the fact that 54 of these 117 titles relate to winning a national league that is considered as a lesser league diminish the importance of them?

I understand your point but I don't think it matters in the historic context.

Wrong. Since our inception until the admin fiasco we had only ever competed in the top tier of Scottish football, winning it 54 times.

Last season was the first year we've ever competed in the second tier.

It's a different competition you smoldering stool.

It's the same trophy. 47 times our names on it. Your original post mentions trophies, not competition ya daft wee virgin.

The end. We've won it plenty of times, and it will be 48 come May.

So what have we won 54 times?

You are missing a Trophy that in it's time was as important as the League Cup or Scottish Cup. (I'll give you a clue; We are the record holders of it and will never be overtaken by the mhanks.) :pipe::21:
