De Gea ran into the brick shithouse that is Traore and there was an offside goal and penalty VAR check so I don't think the injury time was too much of an issue to be honest.

Wolves were good, as they were against Spurs. Well organised, really solid and created a few chances. Neto, Traore, Podence, Silva will cause most teams problems. They just lack a finisher. Sadly their main man is out just now.

Man U were dreadful though. Only 1 shot on target deep into the second half and a huge deflection for the goal. So flat, no urgency at all. Massive win for them.

Cheers - sounds fair enough, then.

Was keeping tabs on the stats & saw Wolves were outshooting Utd in terms of shots on target - as you say, lacking the killer touch.

Typical Utd though - I could see that coming.

Can’t believe they’re that close to Liverpool!

So Leeds are being taken to task for effectively calling out Karen Carney, who made a ridiculous claim that they only got promoted because of COVID, on Twitter.

The sexism, misogynistic and mental health cards have all already been played which means it’ll be interesting to see if people jump to the defence of other pundits who regularly get torn to shreds online for having extreme opinions or for making daft, baseless points - Sutton, Savage, Merson, Owen - all get it tight on the regular for example.

People can talk about the “tone“ of the tweet from Leeds all they want but that sarcastic type retort to tweets and posts is extremely common on social media and by becoming a pundit, Carney has opened herself up to potential criticism of her opinions because it goes with the territory.

No doubt Leeds are going to be forced into an apology because there’s a twitter pile on now and when that happens and the mob want blood most people end up having to back down to pacify them.

If she wasn't a woman there would be no debate. This happens after every game.

It was a terrible baseless take. If you're being paid to give analysis you need to do your research and get your facts straight or you leave yourself open to ridicule. This happens to every pundit, manager, player etc. To not criticise her would be pc gone mad.

She fucked up. She's been called out and the sensible solution would be for her to come out, laugh it off, take the stick and say she fucked up.

Obviously like a lot of things, arseholes on social media will probably go too far and that's clearly not acceptable. No one would condone that. However, don't make outlandish, unsubstantiated, erroneous claims and you won't face any backlash. Everyone wants to be controversial these days.

Don’t remember all the weirdos greeting when they ripped the piss out of Agbonlahor after beating Villa when he had been talking shite.

Not seen much of her so might be a decent pundit overall but this kind of shite was inevitable when female pundits were clearly being put in as part of a diversity drive

There was nothing wrong with the tweet unless they’re saying her opinions were off limits for scrutiny because of her gender

Stolen from Jon Champion, Liverpool have failed to beat 4 of the bottom 6. Not great at all.

Man U can go joint top with a game in hand. City, Everton and Villa can go 1 behind.

League really could go anywhere.

They’re definitely not having it all their own way this year but I’d still say Liverpool have the leagues best squad by far

The narrative seems to be that the tweet was condescending and it sort of opened the gates for people to start giving her sexist abuse on Twitter.

It’s complete nonsense IMO. Banter on twitter is so common these days and plenty of other pundits get it tight and mainly, it’s in good fun. Any one of us could reel of ten examples for each pundit where they have had an awful take and been ripped for it.

Leeds shouldn’t be getting the blame because a few idiots want to use it as an excuse to make sexist comments towards her on social media.

They'll build that up as competitiveness but I think it's the opposite. The shite sides are now sitting in a lot more and because they are better than the shite sides in Scotland, it's more effective. Leeds aside, most of the Prem games have been stinkers this year.

Liverpool last night reminded me of us last season. Side to side passing just hoping something would open up. Into stoppage time and Henderson is walking with the ball and passing backwards, finally decides to take a risk which results in a heavy touch and losing possession.

I love club's official accounts getting involved. You see how popular Roma and Leverkusen have got from it.

I've no doubt that sexism exists in football and that shouldn't be the case but Leeds responding to a stupid opinion surely has nothing to do with who said it? Maybe I'm wrong but I still think they tweet that if it was Carragher or Neville saying it.

Rumours kicking about social media that Kyle Walker hosted a Christmas party and over half of the 19 positive covid tests were people who attended.

If it was anyone else I would be thinking surely not! I would still be surprised if even he was that daft.

If true though City could be in trouble.

He’ll definitely be playing for one of the “big six” next season.

No doubt , Villa did very well to dig their heels in and keep him long as they have.  Got promoted, stayed up last season and will comfortably do so again this year barring a major collapse

Would have been difficult to see all that if Grealish had left before now, and they'll be able to sell for far more with how he's developed on a bigger stage

Find it really boring when the better players in the league just end up at someone like City or Chelsea.

I hope he stays and their owners build a team around him that keeps them challenging up that end of the table.

5th or 6th richest owners in the EPL I think.
