MILLER:This is not ideal for Rangers

Miller let us down?

Yes he didn't score enough goals or keep in his position he tried to do everyone else's work which although seems/looks great isn't doing what's best for the Team.

Interesting how Rangers stories of potential interest appear across different media outlets today:

Record runs with the 14 out, 11 in quote and not much comment.

BBC, Herald and Scotsman all run with fairly straight quote from Miller about player's needing to prove they are best for the position, whether they are the guys who held the jersey last season or new guys.

Sun run with distorted headline from Miller quote and story about Alves being dropped from the Portugal team to be replaced by Pepé, even though Portugal are just playing their usual starters.

Looks like the Sun are the winners of "Cunts of the Day" for Sunday. I expect this is only because none of the other outlets have any journalists in on a Sunday. No doubt the Record will reclaim their title tomorrow.

He was played left wing, right wing, attacking midfielder, playmaker and defensive midfield at points during the season.

He more than done what's best for the team unlike every other fucker who was selected.

Certainly some truth in that, but we don't know what his instructions were in each game, and it sure as hell doesn't come under 'letting us down'.

Millers one of out best players but the only player I gave pass marks last season was the Goalie.

The way I choose to interpret it is he is saying that Warburton and his 2 sidekicks brought in some players who were not anywhere good enough and he then operated out of his depth in a way which resulted in a season that was about as far from satisfactory as its possible to get........then when he eventually realised that he was driving the club into a football cul-de-sac and not on a highway to title 55 anytime soon he baled out before he was chucked out.    Big change for the better with better players was therefore necessary and inevitable.

Warburton had, imo, delusions of adequacy in terms of his leadership qualities and tactical nous in trying to manage a Club of Rangers stature.   His soundbites were all gloss as if read from a book and bereft of any sort of relevant depth of managerial experience needed to bring Rangers into contention for a title.   Most of his signings turned out to be wobbly weaklings not fit for Rangers purpose and who need to be shifted on.   I think the central message Miller is conveying is that the place Warburton, Weir and McParland left us in was not a good place......in fact it was a very bad place.   And as a result wholesale change for the better is an inevitable consequence that needs to happen.

“Is it ideal bringing ten players in? No, it’s not, but if that’s what the manager feels is right, we’ve got to roll with it and make sure it works,” Miller said,  “You can’t mump and moan because we’re signing players, because clearly we need to sign players.

“With how far back we were last year, we need better players and we need better competition in the team.”

Rest is balls, but these two paragraphs are probably all Kenny's actually said, makes perfect sense and nothing controversial or contentious in the slightest.

but that wont sell copy.

Surely Clint hill is worth passing? His goal against them was the highlight of the season for me.
