JukeBoxJohn 3,060
What's the verdict on him so far then? First and foremost getting the win was the main thing today so not trying to kill the mood, however since that man of the match debut at Fir Park Dorrans has offered virtually fuck all in my eyes. Seen a few posters in the match thread saying similar so I can't be the only one! Needs to find a bit of form and fast because we can't afford to have any passengers in that midfield. BlueMexican 204
Impressed against Motherwell but been average since. Still would start him.
Guest Lloyd72
Doesn't get involved as much as I'd like in CM, would like to see him played wide left
simplythebestest 2,148
I agree he's not been a standout but they've all been poor recently. It's a team thing and only a few are rising above it right now. Need the whole team to kick on now and I'm sure Dorrans will start to find the form we know he's capable of. sassaaaa 11,406
We didnt need another sideways passer....
DariuszAdamczuk 548
Need to be given license to play by playing in the 10 role and focusing less on the defensive work probably with Jack and Rossiter doing the work behind him to allow him to play. I think he's been decent if not amazing since the Motherwell game, there have been certain points where his quality and his passion for this club really shine through
ianferguson 2,619
Still to find his fitness after a month in Florida then a Vegas stag doo, also would be better slightly further forward . Will prove a top signing imo.
MasterD 7,442
I don't think he's the type of player many thought we were signing.

ForeverAndEver 71,856
Played the role of two for 65 mins against Hibs. Done nothing of note against Hearts/today, played too defensively imo.
Creampuff 22,628
I think he's doing fine. He's not pulling up trees every week, but he's not playing poorly either.
Moody Blue 9,470
I think if Jack does the dirty work, Dorrans should push on to support the from two a bit more.

They say it takes ten competitive games to get up to full speed, I don't think he's doing too bad though.
Broxi 11,536
Not doing enough with the ball, keeping it far too simple

People are expecting too much from him. Hes a part of the jigsaw, a much better player than halliday.
Gandhi1872 186
He needs to play higher up. Being totally limited by the formation (as is the team imo). I personally would ditch the 4-4-2.
TheSashWithWindass 5
Still looks short of fitness but for my liking he plays it safe and simple far too many times. Hes usually got time on the ball in the middle of the park but still looks to play it back to Wes.

I don't think it's unfair for people to expect a bit more from a £1.5million signing with a decent pedigree, especially after such a promising start. He hasn't been terrible far from it but he's anonymous at times IMO.
Truth_is_out_there 197
I thought he did fine today; pass marks for me. My concern is that he seems very similar to Jack and does the same type of job in midfield. A few posters on here said this was the role he was now playing with Norwich when we were first trying to sign him, instead of the box-to-box midfielder a lot of us thought we were getting. Hopefully, with Pena getting more game time now, it will give us more options of getting players into the box to support our strikers.
whatawaster95 35
I think he'd be terrific as the attacking midfielder in a 4231 with Jack and Rossiter sitting.

From what ive seen of him in the past, and so far, he wont be the box to box star midfielder we think he should be. Him and Jack will supplement another player. Think he'd be better as a midfield three as I dont think he has the presence to run the midfield as part of a two alongside a defensive mid. Tenerife Bear 1,748
Poor last 3 games. Not even a harsh opinion, he has been. Needs to really up his game and impose himself more on them.

Genuine question. Personally ,I feel/agree that he can play much better than he did today - but over all I think he's class and will prove to be a very important player for us over the course of the season
