In the event (unlikely I agree) the Sheep found themselves staring relegation in the face, the SPFL would suddenly decide that expanding the top flight was a good idea, or redraw the stadium rules again to keep Arbroath down should the Lichties win the title. The two games a season (probably one this year) at Pittodrie when the Sheep actually motivate themselves are a favourite of Sky, who would not be pleased if this fixture was lost.

Will be interesting to see how Goodwin gets on at them if he’s appointed

His St Mirren teams have been some of the most defensively organised we’ve played over the last few years. Obviously not every match but as far as the ‘low block’ patter goes they executed it while trying to play too.

I don’t like the guy but he’s done a good job with St Mirren
