I won't judge anyone on that turf tonight. He couldn't even take a corner kick properly, something he normally does with his eyes shut. I do get your point but it’s the first competitive match of the season and I fully expect us to be far more capable at breaking down those sort of teams by August. Why though? Granted we might be better with Aribo in the side. Ojo might be better than Kent (or not). But the rest of the team are the same ones that struggled time and time again to break down packed defences, and that’s while losing Kent as one of the more creative forces from last year. Jones is a more direct and better option than anything we had last year as a backup (Kent might come back too), Stewart gives us a bit of an X Factor off the bench, Ojo has looked like he’s more willing to shoot from range than anybody we had last season and Aribo will give us something we haven’t had in midfield in years.
