Fucking amateur hour yet again Scottish football even right down to the players

Surely the game against celtic cannot go ahead, if the st Johnstone game is off then surely the same rules apply to the next game.

I’m at the other side of the argument here, I’m afraid. Surely they’re allowed going to restaurants where members of the public will also be present. If it is part of the rules though then that does change things somewhat.

They aren't allowed to.

and so it begins... from the DR

The Pittodrie side feared the Government would still step in and call off Saturday’s live televised Premiership clash at McDiarmid Park and the midweek clash with Hamilton but the tussle with celtic on August 15 will go ahead, but the Dons will still be without the eight players in isolation.

That cannot be right surely to fuck. :headwall:

Undermines her position for agreeing to the game coming back. She'll also be fuming that she had to tell them to call off the game. This will either give the SPFL and SFA the kick up the arse they needed or see the league being shut down for a season.

Can just picture her angry wee shaking heid the now....

The city of Aberdeen is in lockdown.

Surely that means the sheep can’t travel to play anyone & no one can go to Aberdeen to play the sheep?

Sports have exemptions. That's why Real Madrid players can come here without isolating for a fortnight to play Man City

You can travel in and out for work purposes like I've been doing. Place is like a ghost town.

I think the sheep where being given dispensation to travel more than 5 miles before this due to the local lockdown which is for 7 days initially

Govt have called(asked) the St Johnstone game off the now to stop it spreading anywhere else

Your right about that but at the same time we need to take full advantage and make sure we are three points in front, and keep the pressure on, it's vital to get ahead of the scum, incase it effects the league again later and we will be at the top.

Good point

getting and keeping in front even this early helps

In a social media post on Friday, Aberdeen chairman Cormack appealed for "patience" with the affected players, pointed out that everyone "is prone to errors of judgement" and stressed that "it is all about how we respond to something we wish had not happened".

Remember this in the future

That's not Soul Bar.

This was before soul bar. They were spotted in a packed soul bar later on that night. There upto 16 bars at the centre of the covid outbreak in Aberdeen. Soul looks like the main culprit.

Exactly.

I know on the surface it sounds harsh, they're only humans why shouldn't they go out for a beer on their night off etc but that's in ordinary times (which we aren't in at the moment)

They aren't allowed, for a reason.

These are the sorts of conditions, that sound strict, but have to be met if games of football are to be played because it's a contact sport etc.

It really is a big deal. Complete amateur hour.
