Remember during the full priced season tickets arguments and MYGers bysegrove and the slo said we’ll see the benefit on the park , when? When will we see it , Hamilton away first half was decent to watch the rest has been honking indicating Livi and Hibs results were coming any time now

Grezda, Murphy, Lafferty, Flanagan, Polster, Coulibaly, Firth, Ejaria, Sadiq, McAuley, Stewart, Hastie, Jones, King, Kamberi, Barker, Ojo..... that's an horrendous list of pure dross.

Gerrard inherited the Murphy deal.  Most of the other players you mentioned were either short-term loans or free agents.

Gerrard never had a war chest to go out and buy a whole new squad when he first arrived.  So he had to dip in to the loan market and take chances on free agents.  It won’t always work.

So you think we should only have 2 strikers on our books rather than 4? Is that what you are suggesting?

We play one out and out striker, having 4 is overkill given we needed other parts done first

I argued with many when Balogun was signed that it wasn't what was needed at the time, helander has stepped in and aside from the second goal yesterday, has been really good,

We needed another striker, roofe was linked heavily, we got him good, itten came out of nowhere but again it wasnt needed then, not when you have Davis having to play 90mins due to 2 injuries to midfielders,

If morelos stays, were gonna have 3 strikers playing backup, eatinf a ton of wages and costing between 5 and 6mill quid,

Its right players but wrong time

Flanagan and Halliday left.  Patterson and Bassey are their replacements.  Katic is out for the season so Balogun was brought in to replace him.  Patterson was promoted from the youth system, Bassey was a developmental fee, Balogun was free and has look solid when played.

How is any of this a bad thing?

Katic is out for 6 months from early august, that was the reports, he'll be kicking a ball again before the season is out

The transfer window is open till October 5th, why did we rush out to replace katic so quickly, why didnt we wait and see how things panned out,

The reason its a bad thing is because we knew we needed a midfielder before the summer, we've had two injuries there and we still havent filled the spot nevermind covered the injuries

The one position we badly needed improved on pre covid still hasnt been improved,

Two out the four will play most games if play 4-2-3-1. Roofe behind Morelos more than likely.

You'd be worried if that was your squad on Football Manager never mind the fucking real world

I am one of Gerrards biggest fans but even I believe this is his last season even if he wins the league etc still think its time to go all out like Leeds did and try hard (I know easier said then done) but bring in some one with  pedigree surely our club could lure some one ! also one with some balls and im not talking training pitch im talking calling out the media/refs and one who actually understands football. I love Gerrard and really loved him as a player and I was more then happy to back him last two seasons ! but the hibs draw the fact Davis is in his 3rd season fact he wont change the midfield shows me he just does not have the football brain or he is just to much of a rookie ! his star power etc will do him good but he really needs to learn !! playing and coaching two different beasts to manage ! he did so good as a player but just seeing the dropped points to Hibs- Livi shows me even if we win the league or a cup its Gerrards time to move on !

I feel like he has hit a plateau and we don't need nor deserve time for him to move onwards! his time has come he has maxed out his ability.

Like every one says how 50k can see that midfield will not win a trophy and three years later still davis and defoe shows he has a lot to learn.

I do feel one day he could be a great manager but he needs to go study and put in the hard work.

we gambled it didn't pay off ! Warburtons/Pedro/Gerrard  the formula doesn't work !

now its time to really push the boat out and bring in a Manager who can build a midfield

Itten would come good eventually after coming to us straight after finishing a season in Switzerland but due to the total lack of creative ability to fashion out clear cut chances for him he will struggle for the foreseeable.

Roofe was bought knowing he has a bad history for injuries. We took a chance and already it doesn't look like its paying off.

Recruitment is far better under Wilson than it was under Allen but due to the inept management controlling the players we will never see that come to any sort of fruition.

Roofe is a striker, playing him behind morelos will waste him, especially when thats hagis best position

Id rather he went 4132, especially at home when two sitting mids arent fucking needed lol

Its a fluid formation. Roofe could play in any of the 3 or switch with morelos during the game.

Two sitting midfielders covering our "rampaging wing backs" are never needed in any league games, including the tarriers. Especially when all our "sitting" midfielders are fucking garbage.

Totally agree, watching davis and jack take the ball off the centre halves with no opponent near them is soul destroying

And then pass it sideways for a retreating wing back, back to a centre back or lose the ball trying to pass the ball to a forward with no opposition player within 15 yards of them. Any pressure and they fall apart. Davis, Jack and Kamara aren't anywhere near good enough for Scottish football let alone Rangers.

Because maybe balogun who we wanted and was free would of got signed by someone else if we didn’t move for him.

just a thought

You don't think its a disgrace that we took 10 defensive players to easter road out of twenty,

Gerrard has spent nearly 30million quid, its his 3rd season and we went to easter road with ten defensive players out of a a squad of twenty, gave davis the full game, and had barjonas and jones on the bench

Id say thats a fucking shambles no question about it

No, I don't think it is a disgrace because I take the time to know our squad and the reason why that happened.....

They should be taking it off them, but 20-30 yards further forward. Forcing the opposition back. Goldson/Helander/Big George/Balogun should be holding it until the half way line then pass. Not allowing Davis to pick it up on the edge of our own box. Davis is more effective as the playmaker 40 yards from goal. Dropping back means the opposition move up, keep em pinned back not knowing where and to whom the CH's will play to. It also allows Goldson and Helander more scope for a cutting pass wide or middle as they get more space and time on the ball.

An opposing player gets within 10 yards of them its straight back to the CB, pass around in a square until Kent or Morelos drop 30 yards to take the ball.
