They chose to ignore this and pushed ahead anyway which is typical from that mob. Did they tell cinch about this ? I rather doubt it. Which may have legal consequences for the SPFL. Informed a month in advance it would breach our current contract rules which is stated in their own rulebook but they decided to go with it anyway and go with the tried and tested Big Bad Rangers narrative. I've pointed out a couple of times why it doesn't make sense that it would be Parks' as it doesn't appear we have any commercial arrangement with them beyond providing matchday transport (same as they do for Celtic and a couple of other clubs). Think we’re all assuming it’s Parks because both companies sell cars but I haven’t seen anything definitive. Like I said, the detail is a side issue, the crux is that Doncaster was told of our position which meant he either looked elsewhere or got cinch to accept the deal minus Rangers (good luck with that). It appears that he plodded on in the hope that either Rangers or cinch would roll over and help him out. The important thing for me is that we are not portrayed as the problem (like normal) so we were right to clarify/correct the position. As for Doncaster, imagine having a job where one of the key duties is to find sponsors. You’re so poor at it, you get someone in to help and then you have to reduce the money going to the clubs so that you can pay this guy doing your job for you! Probably the most incompetent official ever to hold a senior position in the history of Scottish football.
