KingKirk 26,501
Obviously it's no champions league money but we can't be that far off making around the same amount as we would for 6 champions league games. It's nowhere near the 40milliion the media tell us it is.

Look at the numbers on the table below and that doesn’t factor in ticket revenue or the local tv deal. The money is incredible even just for winning a game. Unless we start competing at that level no much more money to be made

How’s the final more or less equal to winning and drawing a game in the groups You’d expect that to be the biggest payday

The prize money is minuscule in comparison.

The only way you're making much more than 20million from champions league football is by getting results. Being honest for us or them at champions league level I think it's highly unlikely. Let's win the league and find out 😁

The champions league gets you more money mate 100% my 20million figure is based on finishing 4 with 6 defeats. Throw in 2 or 3 draws and ur probably talking 23 million. If we can get to the QF of the EL we won't be so far off that figure ourselves this season. We as a club should be aiming for the last 16 of the EL as a minimum every year mate imo. Even then we can drop down into the EL by finishing 3rd in the group and finding an easier path to the last 16 Europa.

That said we are winning this league so thatll be there issue 😂 No, doesn't include anything like ticket sales, merchandise, additional commercial opportunities, sponsors bonuses, etc, This is purely UEFA payments. Finishing bottom of the group would guarantee us c16m in participation fees, a minimum of 55% of Scotland market share (potentially 90%) which is worth another 16m and that's without taking into account our coefficient bonus share worth anything from c1m to c40m depending on where we rank with the other clubs in the competition. There's also roughly 1m per point on offer, WeeJacksonRFC

Two or three draws, and depending on the redistrbution of other unallocated funds from draws (every draw creates almost 1m in unallocated prize money that is distributed to clubs), you could be looking at closer to 40m just from UEFA. esquire8

The Dude 20,027
Just now, KingKirk said: 40milliion 😂 na no having that for making the groups and a few draws The numbers are taken from UEFA's own club payment distribution info. 15.64m for reaching the groups 16.2m is the last CL market share paid out to a Scottish club in 2017/18. It's reasonable to assume that like every other league that has increased over the last five years. If Celtic go out in qualifying, we'd get 90% of that figure. 1m per point. Allocation of undistributed prize money (almost 1m per draw goes unallocated and is then split among the club based on how many points the gained) Coefficent ranking is worth 1.3m per 'share'. Bottom ranked club gets 1 share with each club ranked higher getting an additional 1.3m share, Can't be arsed looking but worst case, it's worth another 1.3m, best case, it's worth almost 40m
