Absolutely abysmal and the biggest reason we lost today, decision making time and time again is horrific, zero ability in any of them to hold the ball up and get us up the park/give us a breather, we have a centre forward who is such a shitebag he slows down to look for a pass when clean through, McAusland running around like headless chicken everywhere apart from where he should be, Sima with ball control that makes Sakalas look like prime Ronaldinho and Cantwell again offering absolutely fuck all, I’m glad the manager isn’t receiving any stick today because he’s worked wonders with the absolute pile of shite he’s inherited, and budget over next couple windows needs spent on that final 3rd.

McCausland and Sima always play the ball across the goal, usually to no one. Tav as well. No one ever cuts the ball back, which is a defender's worst nightmare!

You would think they would work on that.

Agreed lot of chat about needing another striker & winger in but think looking at it we need a proper number 10 as well someone who’s got a bit of bite about them can pop up with a few assists & goals here & there cantwell just isn’t doing it for me easily bullied on the park & often overplays everything

Full new front 3 (4 if including Cantwell are required) I wouldn’t be paying a big fee for Sima either, yes he scores goals but his all round game is brutal, id be looking at Birmancevic for that position instead of Sima, on loan at Sparta Prague from Toulouse and had 10 goals and 6 assists in 26 games and he can actually play football.

McAusland had a chance 10 mins into the game where he got in behind Taylor, Dessers checks his run brilliantly and a cut back gets him a free shot on goal and McAusland just blasted the ball across the area which Dessers had (correctly) vacated. 

People can get all misty-eyed if they want about a wee guy from the academy making it through to the first team, but he is absolutely miles off the level we need.

A very good player and throws himself about and into tackles etc too. Definitely the kind of player we should be looking at - he can play anywhere across the front line too

Our attacking midfielders, Cantwell, Lammers, Matondo, Wright and McCausland have scored 8 goals between them and we’re at the winter break.

Looked really good whenever I’ve seen him which admittedly isn’t a lot but his number are very decent for a wide player, we really need more footballers in our team our use of the ball and retention of it are horrendous.

Ryan Jack has scored same amount of goals as Lammers and Cantwell.

Mcausland is the least of our worries. He has potential and has been thrown into the starting lineup because we have no other options. It’s a damning result of our previous horrendous DOF and poor managers that followed.

He played ok today. Not his best game but he showed more creativity and fight than an experienced player in Cantwell.

This. Our goal threat is fuckin awful and as you say Tav is our main threat. Fuckin dreadful

The biggest issue again was quality in the final 3rd, Kyogo’s was a peach from nothing while Dessers was an absolute embarrassment.

Of our front 4 only Sima is decent, and even then that’s debatable.

Ultimately they take their chances, and we don’t.
