He's alright, when he's in the mood. He had a great game against Celtic, but he doesn't do it often enough.

If Wally can't guarantee him a regular place then it's best to move him on. I''d stick a sell-on clause in his transfer fee though, as if he gets his finger out at his new club he could turn out OK.

I think the problem is that he is clearly out of condition. I can accept that some players are more talented than others but to see someone who was lucky enough to be born with talent most of us would love to have not bothering to make the most of it is infuriating. Combine that with the fact we are paying him to puff around the pitch like that and it's not surprising he gets a hard time

Because he plays football like a schoolboy at times. i.e. gets the ball and just kicks it into space or in the general direction of the goal.

Now don't get me wrong he has produced the odd moment of class e.g. his goals against Stuttgart and Celtic. However, these moments as well as decent overall performances are few and far between. He's too heavy, too slow and his delivery from set plays is terrible, which is not good enough to hold down a regular place in a Rangers team. I wish the guy well deep down as he could be a decent player for a smaller team.

ok where do we start

he is a professional footballer who is overweight and unfit also eats a very poor diet while having the best training facilities and also where he can have healthy foods yet he probably only does the basics asked. He consitantly trys to play the "hollywood" pass while keeping it simple. He can tackle. For a "dead ball specialist" he is fcuking awful at them. He puts team makes under pressure with poor passes that miss them or go out of play with a pass. just a little

He's gone backwards since the Le Guen days. His weight, fitness and all round physical condition is a complete and utter disgrace for a professional footballer let alone a Rangers player. His positioning on the park is terrible(even for a player played out of position)his tackling and constant fouling is a joke - one day he's going to break someone's leg with his ridiculous diving in and catching people high, he's far too wasteful, ball watches, try's to do far too many fancy stuff, his delivery on a whole is crap. He's a waste of space and a liability. He swans about the place like he's something special, he mucks about in warm ups and reserve matches. If he really wanted to improve, lose weight, add a yard of pace to his game....then he'd of done it by now. I manage to keep myself in good condition by working hard, here is a player who is doing something he loves and getting paid a ridiculous amout of money yet still can't keep himself in the shape required.

The guy is only 23/24 he's had some good games in the champions league, good old firm matches.

I think he would do good in a more central midfield role

Totally agree that the hate thing is well over the top.Whilst i agree that he's not good enough for us i did admire the fact that the guy never hid.I've seen the hate factor against Maurice Ross and the early days of Craig Moore and now Charlie as well.It would appear that if you come through the ranks and you're not up to scratch you are hated more.

If and when Charlie goes then i wish him well.

I don't think we've disagreed on one thing since I joined.

And it won't start now!

Adam has suffered since PLG's fitness guru Stephane Wiertelak left the club.

he is 2 years into a 5 year contract (i think).charlie is in a comfort zone if he only had a year left you would see a different attitude. i don't care what shape charlie is in the best part of his game is a dead ball but as someone says in this thread he cant even do that and i would say that is simply lack of training.sadly too many of our young players end up here.
