BlueboyG 5,238
If I remember correctly I think Mel Sterland scored two in his first game for us.
UpStepsTheHammer 93
Tugay comin off the bench at home to Aberdeen a think it was, wasn't on the park long but could tell he was a brilliant player.
Tontospal 1,116
While technically not a debut but Mark Hateley in his first game of his second stint. Fuck it, I'm calling it a debut. Ran riot and bullied the Celtic defence all game... well at least until his game was cut short with a red card.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnR7CFzrNvAThanks for posting. Brings back some great memories.Whilst the EPL goes from strength to strength as the best marketed league in world football they would give anything for an English rivalry like ours with the scum. Granted they're not to keen on the Glasgow version.Only the incompetent and corrupt numpties running Scottish football would cut their noses off to spite their faces and do everything in their power to bring a halt to their greatest asset. And they wonder why they struggle for media and sponsorship deals. Without us and them there is no Scottish football. No competition,no excitement or passion. Just a product that resembles amateur football from real football countries.

Rmc54 469
Apart from Colin Stein for obvious reasons , Derek Parlane had a pretty decent debut aged 18 , goal against Bayern in the semi final of the cup winners cup
Johnny Dangerously 7,562
Not greatest, but I do remember Dale Gordon scoring a couple on his debut, pretty sure it was against Dunfermline.Edit. Just seen someone has already mentioned this. That's what happens when you just jump in on the 2nd page. ?

Laudrup1984 25,100
Brian Laudrup, obviously! His nonchalant, seamless, effortless, gliding run and assist to big Dunc was a sign of things to come from the The Great Dane............

legalbeagle 3,734
Colin Stein is the right answer, I seem to recall Mel Sterland doing some good things back in the 80s, Dale Gordon also as someone else has mentioned.

Ibroxholm 2,276
Always thought that Iain MacDonald's debut against Ayr was one of the best I've seen from a young Rangers player.

hammer93 15,057
Dale Gordon away to dunfermline. Scored and made 2 othersyip, we had lost Walters to Liverpool and sometime later we signed disco dale, he soon made me forget about sparky, unfortunately it was a false dawn. Turnberry18 3,204
Steven Whittaker had a very good debut, where we beat Falkirk 7-2 at Ibrox- for pure impact alone, that was possibly the best debut match made by a Rangers player in a long time. Another good one was more recent, Tavernier against Burnley; he was very good in that match. And, although he didn't score, in the same match Waghorn showed some excellent touches, which told us we had signed a very good player.

TheMotor 2,208
Souness. Could have been sent off twice before he actually was for a glorious off-the-ball crippling of the bheastly George McCluskey, who was carried off the field dripping blood. It was only about half an hour into the game and sent a nice wee message out that Rangers weren't going to be anyone's bitch any more.
onefootwillie 1,518
In all the time I have been watching by far the best debut and start was Colin Stein. First game a hat trick against Arbroath in Scottish Cup, then next game a hat trick against Hibs then his third game 2 against Dundalk in a European Game.
