Out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury, boy's career is well and truly over now  I think.

Terrible news, always loved the kid especially when he was the only one to stand up and be counted for in an interview after Progress. I fear you are right, the potential of a great career is probably over.

Horrible.

People go on about how much footballers are paid. and question loyalty and commitment, but usually fail to appreciate only a small minority make it to the big stage and the injury risks are high, some of which will either last a lifetime or cause problems later.

Best wishes to him.

Jesus, how long has he got left on his contract.

His contract is up at the end of the season.  In real terms this doesn’t effect us as his contract was never going to be renewed anyway.  Feel sorry for the young lad his career has been plagued by injury.

This was his first senior game (league cup match)  as a 17  year old. His control. passing, movement and confidence are exceptional and he scored a well taken goal.

He was  a mainstay in the under age team after that, then missed second half of season  injured

Made league debut following season but missed most of it because of another injury.

He'd played a hell of a lot of football for Liverpool having joined them as a six year old (sic). Make you wonder how much a toll that may have put on him.

From the video above alone you can see he had all the ability and confidence to have been a great player, if injuries hadn't intervened. Hopefully he can somehow get through this one and recover fully.

Don't think any of us wish him any bad luck but that's what he seems to have.

I'm surprised he's actually still getting paid as a professional footballer as his injuries cause him so many problems .
