Terrible news, always loved the kid especially when he was the only one to stand up and be counted for in an interview after Progress. People go on about how much footballers are paid. and question loyalty and commitment, but usually fail to appreciate only a small minority make it to the big stage and the injury risks are high, some of which will either last a lifetime or cause problems later. His control. passing, movement and confidence are exceptional and he scored a well taken goal. He was a mainstay in the under age team after that, then missed second half of season injured Made league debut following season but missed most of it because of another injury. He'd played a hell of a lot of football for Liverpool having joined them as a six year old (sic). Make you wonder how much a toll that may have put on him. From the video above alone you can see he had all the ability and confidence to have been a great player, if injuries hadn't intervened.
