I always felt that with Boyd it wasn't so much trust, it was more to do with his style better suitied to a system where he could play with a striking partner, whereas in the bigger games we generally played a 4-5-1 with Miller more suited to the lone striker role.

Do you not think that was because of the quality of the opposition though ?
I dont think it was because he couldn't be trusted , more to do when playing top quality teams we weren't going to be in their half , or around the penalty box , the way we would be in your bog standard league game .
I'd agree that when tracking back Dessers was more apt to it than Boyd , which we'd see more of in the bigger games .

Apart from Butland is there a single player on the park that you'd keep? I'd happily get rid of every single one of them if we could afford to. I see nothing in any of them that convinces me they have a future here.

Ive always liked Balogun, today he let himself down a bit but I wont hold it against him as long as he performs well in the second half of the season, thing is though if he had just let the baldy cunt go and he was in one on one with Butland, I'd still back Butland, that cunts shooting is terrible, he wouldve probably hit row z.

Leckie has summed it up well there, and he is hardly a journalist who is sympathetic to Rangers.
Given how quickly a decision was reached, my feeling is that Collum looked only at the first angle (zoomed TV camera) and decided no penalty (as it didn't look much on that angle).
If he looked at camera angle 2 (behind goal) and decided it wasn't a clear and obvious error - then all I can say to that would be wow. I'd seriously question either his integrity or competence to have viewed that angle and decided no penalty.
Given how quickly the no penalty decision was reached, we all know that offside was never checked - and if it was the game would have restarted with a freekick.
Either way there is a stink about how VAR is being implemented, and perhaps such a high profile incident will actually get the spotlight turned on it. Hearts at the weekend also had a baffling VAR call, and something, much like the handball, IMO that when viewed in a slow motion replay from a few angles wasn't hard to get correct.
A penalty not being awarded isn't the issue here. Something wasn't done properly and I think Scottish football has a right to know.

    SHOULD BE SIMPLE
VAR has created a rancid trifle of confusion with Rangers handball claim – SFA have question to answer, says Bill Leckie
He set out his fears ten days after it started - and they haven't changed since
Sky Sports cameras caught the incident but later offside images were shared
Alistair Johnston slaps the ball over the bye-line with his right hand as he tries to stop Abdallah Sima getting in on goal.
Ref Nick Walsh either doesn’t see him do it or isn’t sure, so Wee Willie Collum in the VAR studio steps in.
First, he asks Walsh to delay the restart until he’s had the chance to look at the incident from every angle.
Then, he invites him to trot over the touchline monitor so he can be part of the process.
Between them they agree that, although there’s been a handball offence, Sima’s been offside in the build-up, so it’s not a penalty.
Walsh trots back on, calls the captains together and explains the decision, using clear hand signals so everyone else in the stadium understands what’s what.
Like I say, that’s how it SHOULD work — and had it done so at Parkhead on Saturday, no one could have complained; Sima’s offside clearly precedes Johnston’s handball, there are no grey areas.
But it wouldn’t be Scottish football if it worked that way, the sane and sensible way. So, instead of clarity, what we end up with is yet another unholy mess. A rancid trifle of confusion, of excuses, of recriminations, of conspiracy theories, of angry wails for justice.
Bloody hell, even the way they restart the game blows your mind, because in a situation that can only possibly resolve itself in one of three ways — with a spot-kick, an indirect free-kick or a corner kick — we somehow find the decision is a bye-kick.
Rangers slam SFA delays as VAR audio row from Celtic 'handball' rolls on
To me, that says it all about the shambles VAR has been from day one. The fact that even when they stumble across the correct call, they still manage to leave themselves this wide open to criticism and ridicule and the threat of open mutiny.
That it was Wee Willie at the heart of it all? Well, that’s the tin hat on the whole sorry mess.
Somehow, he just can’t resist making it all about himself, somehow he always finds a way to cause mayhem.
Yet this one should have been simple. There was nothing subjective about it.
Johnston could have caught the ball in both hands, pulled out a Sharpie and signed it and it STILL wouldn’t have been a pen, because Sima was clearly offside before the pair of them tangled.
So here’s the question the SFA have to answer, even though they probably won’t.
As the incident happened two minutes before half-time, how come it was nine minutes after the break before a still photo of the offside, with lines drawn, was released? Hadn’t they given offside a thought at the time of the incident?
Rangers say they’ve ‘learned’ that Collum didn’t think Johnston batting the ball out of play was worthy of a penalty and that’s exactly where my head’s been at since it happened.
I’m also with them then when they question why the SFA don’t have the same ‘nothing to hide’ approach to releasing VAR audio as their counterparts down south.
After Liverpool had a goal wrongly chalked off at Spurs earlier in the season, the FA let the world hear a recording from the VAR studio, even though it betrayed a woeful breakdown in communications with the on-field officials.
That’s what we need here too — because, without it, what are we supposed to do except guess and speculate?
For instance, my feeling is that Collum realised too late that he’d got it wrong on the handball and threw the offside screenshot out there to cover his tracks.
If that’s miles off, someone needs to say so and I’ll happily apologise.
But it’s all so Secret Squirrel, with players, coaches, broadcasters, a stadium full of punters and a worldwide armchair audience left baffled by the amateurish nonsense of it all.
And let’s not forget that referee Walsh himself is part of the baffled and fuming masses, that he too was kept in the dark over something so pivotal to the outcome of a huge derby match and maybe even the title race itself.
Like so many whistlers game after game, week after week, he was left standing around like a spare you-know-what at a wedding while control was taken out of their hands by someone sitting in an industrial estate miles away. Once more, all that the man in the middle can do is shrug apologetically while players demand to know what’s going on and supporters howl and scream and boo.
And the rest of us are all thinking the same thing:
Why ISN’T he across at the monitor, helping get such a big decision right?
How CAN this decision be final if he’s denied a part in making it?
Sadly, this is the issue with VAR that we’re left wrestling with every single week.

They will probably nick a goal late on like usual but their seriously a bad team, its so funny how Rodgers has ruined their style of play in a couple of months. I hope to fuck big Phil can get what he needs in Jan because we could and should be blowing these cunts away.
