RIP  Fernando. I lost a family member to this disease and the only comfort we can all take is that you have left your pain and suffering behind you. You fought like a tiger, but unfortunately there is no beating this. Condolences and thoughts to the family and friends.

Anybody who sings TBB or Super Rangers on Thursday cannot claim to have Rangers best interests at heart. It’s as simple as that tbh.

I have a certain amount of sympathy with these youngsters as when I was their age I was fucking nuts and sang a lot worse than what’s doing the rounds at the moment. However, times have changed and we really have to box a lot cuter now. They have been hung out to dry a bit by the board and appear to be the fall guys for the “naughty singing”. Hopefully they will suck it up and get on with it. I appreciate that they’re not everybody’s cup of tea, but they do make a better atmosphere these days than I think it would be without them. I can’t get to games now unfortunately but I’m pretty sure that if I was following the team now I would be a lot more careful with my choice of songs. We are very lucky that we have loads of great songs we can sing that no one can take offence to. I’m including loyalist songs in this (without the add ons) as we’re as entitled as anyone else to celebrate our culture. I appreciate that there are supporters who don’t want to sing these songs but that’s ok too. This is a very serious situation that we have to deal with at the moment and every other fucker outside the Rangers family is just waiting to pounce. So sing loud and proud guys and gals   but please don’t give them any more ammo. 

If you have a discussion with any tarrier then they will point blank refuse to accept that they are sectarian in any shape or form. They will openly tell you that calling someone an Orange bastard is perfectly acceptable as it’s not racist. They will refuse to accept that most Protestants are not in the OO, and will tell you that the word fenian is ok as long as it’s not followed by bastard. If you reply that Orange is ok if not followed by bastard, they just give you a blank stare. The person who wrote the article is typical of that way of thinking. They are totally blinkered and refuse to accept that any of their songs are sectarian ( apparently they are Irish folk songs in recognition of freedom fighters). Now singing has never personally offended me, but I can understand why folk who have lost family and friends in the troubles , would be upset by a group of fuckwits celebrating a murderous terrorist group. I’ve never considered myself paranoid and have laughed at them bastards for years because they are. However, there is no doubt that there is a hatred towards Rangers in this country that is way beyond the realms of normal. I have a lot of English friends and relatives and few of them have a bad word to say about us. It would appear that the anti Rangers agenda being pushed in Scotland is definitely working  therefore. He loves the Rangers and you can see that from how he’s playing. Will be a massive player for us this year. No full back will enjoy that pace running at them. 

The OP is about an article where Waghorn talks about his experience with mental health issues (which is a serious but often unspoken issue), and yet for some reason you decided to come into this thread and make a snide dig at the end of your post about how “he was still fucking rubbish”, and then proceeding to continue to argue about that point.

Not only does it have absolutely fuck all to do with the actual article, it’s also totally fucking needless regardless.
Whether you liked him or not while he was here doesn’t really matter, just show a bit of basic human decency.
