I agree. He has more potential than any other winger we have.

He is a centre forward played out of position.

Posters will say he looked shite as a CF, true, but in limited time and that is where he belongs.

My beef with Clement is he plays players out of position, Silva, Sterling, Lawrence, Dowell...

Where would you play those 4 players then?    I've seen nothing to suggest 3 of them would be any use no matter where they were played.   Sterling has had to be used as a utility player due to injuries and poor form of others in the squad.

I actually think the different is guys like Lawrence, Cantwell, Matondo, Roofe, Lammers, Wright, McCausland contributing fuck all.

    Dessers return is absolutely fine.

I agree with you about not enough goals from all the other players but the main issue with Dessers misses is the importance of some of them.

  3. Our chance of winning the league has gone and it is simply unrealistic for any of our fans to think otherwise.  Goal difference alone will only matter if we win all 4 remaining games one of which would be at Parkhead.   The truth is we need 2 shock results to occur and that just isn't going to happen.

    Looks like a dive tbh.

Only reason he is getting the benefit of the doubt is because of how ridiculous it is.

Definitely not a dive.  It was easier to score than to try to get a penalty.

Matondo at least scores on occasion. Lawrence is finished and went in to hiding in the Old Firm.

With the transfer fee and his wages he's been a huge waste of money.

Matondo has done more than Lawrence, yet people call for Lawrence to start more than Rabbi.

Both are awful.  Lawrence at least tries.

How many games has Ridvan been injured for? I don't think I can remember him being consistently available for a decent period of time. If that is the case then we need to sell him and try to upgrade.

Being better than Barisic isn't the best reason for keeping him.  I'd sell him and bring in someone else.

Can't believe what I saw tonight, that was absolutely abysmal, we showed nothing at all from the start, in fact that's the third match in a row we either lost or nearly lost a goal inside the first minute, even by our own recent standards, this was terrible, we looked like a team that was on it's knees, and chucked it completely.

I tend to be positive and optimistic but I'm no naive, I know we're not a good team but we do have better players than every other club in Scotland other than them, going for a title and to put in a performance like that, so insipid, uninspired, scared and just down right lazy is unforgivable, there's zero leadership in that dressing room, Clement does exude leadership but when the players go onto that pitch, there's no one you can hang your hat on to deliver when it really matters, who have we got that can inspire their teammates or fire them up, just get a song out of them? Nobody.

I'm not surprised we dropped more points, I can handle that, these things can happen, it's the manner we dropped them without a fight or a fuss that kicks you in the balls, a club filled with perennial losers.

A good post and I highlighted the most relevant point.

We have needed leadership on-field for a few years now.   Tav and Goldson are not leaders, they show no drive for others to follow, neither show any ability to inspire or cajole others.    They show a defeatist attitude instead of a winning mentality when the chips are down.    A more gutless pair it's difficult to find.

Reportedly on a massive wage as well.

Another player we are stuck with unless we punt him on loan and pick up a decent chunk of his wages in the process.

The money we have spent and invested on players who have provided absolutely no significant return is borderline criminal.

Our wage bill for first team playing staff was about £48 million last financial year which was up £10 million on the previous year.

He’s had an operation. Not just a sore thumb.

Pretty sure most people are on medication or have recovery time after any surgery in hospital no?

Might have had it done under a local not general anaesthetic.
