People go on about the £50K we spent on Kamara being good value but I think that the £225K spent on Tav is even better value. Such an important player and those that slate him will only realise how important he is once he eventually leaves.

What I will say is that Gerrard gave us standards again, he built our club up again from a pretty mediocre level. He gave us undoubtedly one of the best seasons that we will ever have and that I'll always be thankful.

Interesting to see Tav’s reaction after scoring the equaliser.  Next to no celebration and encouraging the team back to get restarted and go again.  That’s the actions of a captain. 

Agree he was partly at fault along with Goldson, also agree about him driving us on.  
I honestly believe he’s grown into the captain’s role and is a huge part of our success.  
He’s not perfect, but if he was he’d be down south earning 10* the amount he gets up here.  He’ll be remembered as a fantastic servant to the club who helped take us back to where we belong.
