I’d recommend a trip down to Carlisle to anyone thinking about it. The football is terrible but Brunton Park is a classic wee traditional English ground and the terracing is a nice throwback. Plenty of pubs and places for food in and around the town centre too.
Had the privilege of bumping into Clint and he spoke to us for a good 10 minutes with absolutely no rush about him. At the time, he was throwing all sorts of questions at us about Alves so I reckon he thinks he could still be doing a job in our defence!

I still don't get why he was even brought on.   What made Pedro pick him over Rossiter who has at least had some good first team game time and is patently far fitter and more capable of chasing down and helping to minimise the effect of 10 v 11.    I just don't see what Pedro was hoping to achieve by that substitution.  
The only explanation I can think of is he wanted Pena to experience first hand the 'feel' of a Scottish game that was going badly and to feel the intensity of pressure from the Support and to see first hand the sort of way teams are going to play against Rangers so that when he came off the pitch he was part of the team that experienced first hand the pressure of playing for Rangers.     The point being to get him more mentally tuned to what is to be expected in games when he is fit enough to be considered for a starting position in the team.    I'm only guessing.   I've not seen any explanation from the manager in post match stuff about why he brought Pena on.

So we have a pretty decent test in front of us.  Will give us an idea of what we have in the locker.
