Its already been posted in the transfer section. You seem to like causing a bit of drama @backup...it's starting to feel like you have some ulterior motive.

There was. Normally they used newspapers (local and national) for coverage as well as stuff like local radio etc. Crazy that folk might publicise charity work in an attempt to generate more interest in said charity. It's almost as if it goes to helping the charity raise funds. Just look at the promotional work Rangers do for their own charity foundation. Shameful that Rangers promote such stuff. Would never have happened in your day.

So they aren't to publicise a charity match? How do you propose they get folk to attend said charity match if they don't publicise it?
Tom Hunter is regularly in the media in relation to philanthropic work he does.

Outside the arena they were at?  I mean do folk seriously think a near 40-year-old man should refuse to get his photo taken because its at celtic Park? FFS.

Threatening the club with legal action isn’t conjecture. That happened. They approached the LMA. The LMA approached Rangers for evidence to support their claim that they resigned. The LMA decided against taking the case on once Rangers backed up the claim they resigned

Done quite well, stats better than I'd given credit for.
But missing too often especially in the bigger games.

It was. Green was more than prepared to accept title stripping as a consequence of getting the licence to play. McCoist - and others including Sandy Jardine - firmly put him in his place over that one.

Just with all the transfer talk going on at the moment - can anyone remember any signings we made where you thought ffs and they turned out really good? and likewise any ones you were wrong about by thinking they'd be good and bombed big time?
For me I remember being in Spain when Advocaat and rolled in and the promises of big money were made and we signed Rod Wallace. I remember it well, was sat at the pool table in the resort with a bottle of cheap supermarket Sangria (being about 15) when I heard the news and thinking wtf he's mince.  He was a cracking signing.
Likewise David Weir. He never impressed me once for Scotland, Hearts, Everton .. in fact I thought he was an utter donkey but he was one of the best defenders I've seen in the flesh at us. His reading of the game was superb by the time he reached us. Defo peaked later in life.
Naismith is another, thought he was decent enough but just not Rangers-class. Thought he was good in a Kilmarnock side but had no idea he could step up the way he did before doing the dirty.
Lesser extent Novo too in the sense that he was a limited player, but for the small amount of money we paid Dundee and the massive impact he had in some massive games. Had no idea he would contribute what he did for us.
Some mentions for the likes of Stevie Thompson, Fraser Wishart, Andy Dibble, Billy Dodds who were meh signings for me but done varying decent jobs in stages.
Conversely and recently thought Barton and Krancjer would be excellent signings ... Basil Boli and Duncan Ferguson probably the two biggest let-downs from memory though ... a world class, Champions League winning central defender and we either play him right-back or with Davie McPherson/Steven Pressley a couple times and he lost interest pretty quickly ... big Duncan I'm sure he must have been a longer term replacement for Hateley but he found himself out on the flanks if I'm not mistaken and just thinking what a waste.

First of all, they wouldn't put as in a position where we would be on the receiving end of additional sanctions for them.
They will deny clubs, the SFA/SPFL and potentially even their commercial partners revenue.
They'll minimise media interest in events in they are getting sent a Rangers u17 player to promote the start of the season - less media coverage = reduced interest from external partners = reduced revenue for clubs who are surviving hand-to-mouth.
It puts the pressure on the SFA to dish out punishments for every rule-breach or lose credibility - and adds weight to any complaints their treatment of us was disproportionate.
It stops folk using their personal relationship (or lack thereof) to take digs at the club via Traynor's association with us.
It lays bare to the world the AGREED FWA and not just drafts which are available now. Publish the final signed copy and let everyone see how we were shafted and how chuckles was more than happy to play along with the charade.
It gives us executives who are more interested in doing a good job than feathering their nest and getting themselves in with the 'scottish fitba set' who are at all the charity events, black tie dinners etc

We don't have the option to withdraw from the Scottish Cup. We refuse to play they revoke our licence to play. At all. No friendlies, no league, no Europe.
Rangers aren't legally responsible for any away fans attending games anyway so it's an utterly toothless threat.
We don't get to refuse to sign the TV deal. Clubs don't sign it. The SPFL does on our behalf. We might - if we're lucky get a vote on it but us refusing alone would do absolutely nothing. If we refuse the media partners access we just open ourself up to sanctions from the SPFL.

Aye I know the likes of Man United have been fined off the FA in years gone by for it - something to do with the integrity of the cup competition. But it was pretty brazen and them getting humped 3-0 off a Yoevil or something ... can imagine the sponsors threatning the FA after shite like that.
As you say there's a way of doing it guys like Barjonas, Hardie, A.Wilson etc maybe throw in a Dalcio and Dodoo ... I know a couple of them are gone, but just for example.

Your spot on, however we play kids mixed with fringe players (like the top teams in the English premier do) and it's win win for us. We lose and our kids get experience in playing in a conpetative match and the revenue for other clubs drops and if we win it's a confidence boost and an embarrassment for other teams ?

I have plenty of constructive ideas to fight our corner.
First one - which wouldn't do much but would certainly give them an idea of the strength of feeling amongst fans - would be to have a small protest at a wee event the SFA are hosting this weekend. I'm sure thousands of bears at Hampden before, during and after the Cup Final would cause them a massive headache.
I'd stop giving a penny to other clubs in this country. No tickets, no increased allocations, no players on loan, no teams sent to play them in testimonials. Nothing.
Provide the absolute minimum required for any SFA/SPFL events. If we have to provide players for events send youth players along.
Stop the cosy wee arrangements we have with celtic over votes on the SFA/SPFL boards. (we stand a candidate/they dont and vice-versa).
I'd go out of our way to highlight every transgression by every club in the country - regardless of how petty - if necessary release statements every month highlighting said issues that haven't been dealth with.
Bin the PR guru who is more interested in fighting battles with his former colleagues on our dime than doing his job.
Release the 5WA, in its entirety, and lay bare quite the hurdles we had to agree to jump through to get our licence.
and probably most importantly, hire executives from outwith the Scottish football bubble who doesn't care about ruffling some feathers just because it might hurt who they play golf with.
