BigDak got a reaction from Rowley Birkin in We are certainly in the wrong league
I was reading an article yesterday and it covered teams like Bournemouth, Watford, Norwich and others who just yo-yo up and down from the Premier League to the Championship.
In a nutshell these teams exist in limbo coz they’re not good enough to survive in the top league (partially, believe it or not, coz those at the top end get vast amounts more money) but have too much money/too good players to stay in the Championship. The supporters don’t enjoy it coz they’re basically just whipping boys for the rest of the teams in the Premier League and the club itself just gets into debt coz once they’re back in the Championahip they have issues affording the players they signed to stay up.
But coz this is all happening at the tail end on the league nobody really cares. It does all seem really soulless.

I canny believe (well I can actually) that more wasn’t made of this. Did the pundits just decide the bheasts got a free kick for a foul and so it wasn’t an issue?
I thought Boyd would’ve mentioned it but I never heard him cover it.

He gets away with it cause he goes up to everyone he's fouled with that stupid fucking smile on his coupon and back pats them and holds his hands up to the ref, and the shite refs in this league buy it.
Can't stand the wee diving, cheating prick.

Its not like its a set piece, ffs.. The ball is moving and the keeper will be on the move, and will never expect someone to hit it so sweetly from that range. This is real life, not slow motion world.

Think this’ll be the weekend where it actually is or isn’t a title race.

If they draw at County it’s game on providing we win this game.

He made a sub and sometimes teams can lose their shape when subs are made, it's not intentional it's just happens. At no point when those subs were made were people questioning his managerial qualities. Only once they scored (with their only shot on target) were people, sorry Mongos, calling for his head.
If, on the back of him getting us to a semi final of a major European competition, your reaction is you're not sure about him then your mind is probably made up on him.

You do realise we are talking about more than half the team being shitebags and needing dropped, mcgregor is arguably the only one who had a proper replacement
Tav, goldson, bassey, barisic, balogun, kamara, aribo, arfield, roofe, sakala, kent
All of them eityer my woefully out of form or once again shat out of the title challenge,
So who the hell does he replace them with, helander is never fit, davis had covid then was injured, diallo shat it at parkhead, ramsey isnt guaranteed to play a full ninety of club football nevermind two in a week, morelos for all the good he brings to the team isnt exactly scoring goals left right and centre either
The bulk of this squad have shown 3 times out of 3 now that they are bottle merchants, but if gio had dropped them for guys like lowry etc and we lost the league that way, he'd have been hounded just as bad

Consistent progress and the rate of it includes more than just results. Whilst others wanted Gerrard out I argued long and hard about the progress, be it Europe, squad strengthening, style of play. For me sufficient progress was there not to want him sacked which was against the general concensus on here. I'd say winning the league in season 3 showed it wasn't all just about resultsprior to then.
All I'm saying is gvb isn't delivering on that front yet. I'll afford him the rebuild, but if the rate of progress isn't evident sharpish, and he is given funds for it to be, then I'll be joining the growing clamour for him to leave.

Sorry mate but that's complete nonsense
The team that drew 5-5 with Hibs just before that close season was
    Alnwick
    Tav.   Bates.    Martin.     Halliday
    Rossiter.    Goss.     Holt
    Candieas      Cummings.      Murphy
Subs.   Kelly, Hodson, Alves, Docherty, O'Halloran, Windass, Herrera
We cleared virtually the whole lot out for 2 bottles of Irn Bru and old Shoot magazine
We're currently a good result away from a Europa Cup semi-final with a squad with multiple internationalists and worth 10s of millions of pounds
We'll earn well over £20m from Europe, got £10m + for Patterson, Gerrard compensation and will sell 3/4 players for 10s of  millions and will absolutely invest decent money adding to a squad with some very good players as a base
    Light years from 2018 mate

BigDak reacted to The Moonlighter in 84 Years Ago Today.Founder Moses McNeil.
On the 9th April 1938 our Founder Moses McNeil passed at Townend Hospital Dumbarton,Moses had been visiting a friend in Dumbarton and became unwell. He was the grand age of 82.
Moses was born on the 29th October 1855 at Belmore House which today is part of the Faslane Naval Base. His father John was from Comrie in Perthshire and mother Jane Bain from Downpatrick in Ulster.
He was a natural athlete, powerful and of stocky build,it was said that he was also known for his pace.In the Ibrox trophy room today is a cup won by Moses for a half-mile race at the Garelochead Athletic Sports on 1 January 1876,it’s the oldest Trophy that the Club has.
Moses played for the club he helped form for ten years, playing in the 1877 and 1879 Scottish Cup Finals. He was also a member of the first Rangers side to lift a trophy, the Glasgow Merchants Charity Cup in 1879.
He was the first Ranger to play for his country when Scotland defeated Wales 4-0 at Hamilton Crescent in Partick in 1876.
Moses led a nomadic lifestyle mainly due to his 20 year employment with the company Langs whose name was synonymous with the famous brand of whisky.Their premises, which Moses worked from, was at 70 Union Street in Glasgow.During his time in Glasgow Moses lived at 169 Berkeley Street and 333 Dumbarton RoadThese locations are among many others that we visit during the Founders Trail.
We have a wonderful newspaper report which details Moses and his friend,team-mate and fellow Founder Tom Vallance attending the 1905 Scotish Cup Final as Rangers supporters.
Only 9 months after Moses passed Rangers would set their record attendance at Ibrox Park of 118,000.It’s a comforting thought that our Founder was sitting in his Rosneath cottage while the Club that he’d help form and nurture were now one of the biggest in the World.
Moses spent the last few years of his life living with his sister Isabella in Clynder at Craig Cottage. She died in 1935, to be followed by her brother, the last of the siblings,in 1938.They lie together with their sister Elizabeth and Isabella’s husband Duncan Gray in the lovely churchyard at Rosneath. But sadly for the man who gave Rangers their name his own wasn’t inscribed on the family headstone. This was because Moses was the last family member in the Rosneath area to pass and no one was left to have his name added.
The late great Sandy Jardine was a supporter of our Founders project and had expressed a wish to have a plaque with Moses name on it placed at the churchyard at Rosneath, this is a project that we completed on Sandy’s behalf on Sunday 28th June 2015.Our Restoration team cleaned Moses stone and placed an engraved plaque which was purchased after funds were raised via the worldwide Rangers support.
As we celebrate our 150th year we remember Founder Moses McNeil.
Moses life story can be read here in our book. All books purchased are posted out by ourselves within 24 hours.

    There's definitely two issues.
Fannies in our support the first. Cretins need weeded out. Lobbing a bottle at someone that's done fuck all to you is cowardly scum behaviour. Needs to be addressed.
The second nobody really caring about things thrown on the pitch until we do it.
We've seen Ricksen being struck by a lighter and coins being chucked, Novo being hit by a phone, a Rangers doctor being injured by a coin at Celtic park when treating McGregor, Barisic having a glass bottle thrown at him at Hibs when he was being treated, McKay having a bottle thrown at him at Celtic park, Morelos being struck by a coin at St Mirren, various occasions of pies and plastic cups being thrown, Kane having a glass bottle chucked at him at Hampden.
Yet no national outcry until we do it. Absolutely none. Same happens with bad songs being sung. Almost like the danger to the player isn't actually what the first concern is

Thats because the players are thick and play like we have him when he isnt there, they did it when defoe replaced him pre covid, and they'll do it again
Can already picture tav and bassey especially firing a ball up to roofe, bypassing the midfield, expecting him to hold it up, or goldson dropping a 50yarder into the channels for roofe to go out to, who'll actually manage it, lay it off to either fullback who'll cross it into the box where our most natural finisher is still out wide having collected goldsons 50 yard hoof
