In terms of the team, we need someone who makes us hard to beat. Usually it’s the creative part of a team that coaches struggle with but, with Candieas, Murphy, Windass (if we can get a shift out of him), Morelos and Cummings, making chances is not our problem. Walter showed ten years ago that an average side, if prepared properly, can achieve a great deal if they are a strong defensive unit. In coaching terms, stopping and destroying is considered much easier than scoring but you wouldn’t know that from watching us.

They’ll probably look even better in the top 6 after the split coz every team will be expected to go at them whereas if they’d been in the bottom 6 it’d have been interesting to see how they faired having to be proactive rather than reactive.

 It is a never ending spiral if you start chasing success by constantly changing managers, usually downwards.  In addition, if the criteria for keeping a manager is based on the second guessing of his substitution decisions after every defeat, as inferred by the article, we’re going to go through a lot of managers.
However, if there is an outstanding candidate who becomes available who has had previous success with teams with a restricted budget, we would be stupid not to go for him.

I think the gap between us and cellic isn't massive - but it is big  - and Pedro (or whoever) is going to need far more than the net spend of £5.9 million he has spent this year to bridge it - and that would apply to any manager you bring in. However, Pedro has no wiggle room left because of the shite results from last season. Jack is better than anything we had and Dorrans is a huge leap in quality add to that the powerful centre backs and that's only the players I know Pena and Herrera must be an improvement on waghorn and windass.

would like to be still challenging at xmas for top spot so it gives the board a chance to buy another couple of players to make the push for the 2nd half of the season.  If we can win the first couple of games and get a bit of confidence then I think we will look like a good side and the goals will come. We need to give the team a chance tho and I think that there are people who have made their mind up about the boss that it could quickly have a negative effect on the team which will do more harm. The european result was shocking but he isn't the first and certainly wont be the last manager to have a shocker of a result in europe.

In regards to his management at Clyde. I couldn't tell you how he played his teams, his impact on his players, tactics decisions and all round managerial skills but I'm guessing it wasn't a great success  at them or Blackpool. Hence I don't want him as manager which thankfully he isn't.
With regards to number 2, what he could bring to the table is an understanding of what it means to be a Ranger, we all remember what he was like on the pitch, he moaned like fuck at anyone who wasn't performing, shouted at his players to give that extra 10%, to me, he was a fantastic captain. Could he transfer that to the players? Fuck knows. What I do know is that he wouldn't be coming in at half time at Hampden after getting a battering off the scum and telling everyone that is fine and to keep going. He'd tell them they are shit and better get their fucking act together coz it's not fucking good enough.

Did you not read a word Robertson said? We have a permanent manager lined up to join very soon, why would we throw that away to keep Murty after 2 results that should be expected? 3 weeks is absolutely fuck all in terms of appointing a new manager in the football world, every cunt is getting impatient over nothing, especially considering the fact this is our most important appointment ever.
