People will say grinding out results etc but that for the last month has been a team going through the motions desperately hoping for the season to end. Anyone who watches us would be stunned if you told them we have the potential to win a treble. 

If anyone needed confirmation that this squad needs a total overhaul they have got it today. We have a chance of winning a treble yet there is not a sign of determination from the team. St Mirren have shown more appetite to win the game than us yet, they have not a lot to play for. We don’t have a ton of money and are about to hand the scum another European windfall. So, the rebuild might be slower than we would want. One way or other the senior members of the team urgently need replaced by players that have a will to win at all costs. They really should have been replaced before now. 

Maybe after the first manager but they have served under 4 managers now the players are the issue not the manager.

I fucking hate our team right now. It's like groundhog day watching the same shite needing replaced every year

Another season over. Because unless the sheep beat the filth we ain't winning that either even if we beat Hearts,which on recent showings is a huge doubt. 60 MILL plus handed to the bheasts. In over 50 years watching the Rangers i can honestly say i have never ever despised a group of players wearing our famous shirt. Until now. 

September to January. We had FOUR MONTHS to find and address the issue of goalscoring.     I’m lost for words at how shite that was tonight.  A carbon copy of Sunday where, despite the usual shite….. we clearly ‘learned nothing’

Our main problem apart from our leaky defence is we haven't got a main goalscorer or finisher who can bury teams when we get chances

Agreed. Few games now it’s been the wrong line up. I called it out 4 or 5 weeks ago. It was starting to feel like rotation for rotation sake and it was starting to bite us on the arse.

Tav is absolutely crapping himself from Maeda to the point that he doesn’t seem to want the ball played to him.
The fact that Goldson is considered our best centre back says it all. Our defence has been needing changed for years now. Yet, none of our recent managers want to touch it. Souter gets stick but, we essentially play him on the wrong side to accommodate Goldson.

Everytime we play celtic the same fucking players let us down, and it's supposed to be the ones that have been here and done it all.
Tav, Goldson, Lundstram, fucking baws. 
And then the recruitment letting us down as per, Silva is shite.

Maybe it is Goldson who makes souttar nervous. Put souttar and balogun in together for a few games. They had a clean sheet against hibs away.

Tbh I just want us to stop playing it out wide and whipping aimless balls in to strikers who clearly won't win a header
It's as if the quick 1 touch passing/movement of the last few months has disappeared over the last 2 games and we're back to the old Gerrard tactics of relying on the fullbacks for service

We're going to have to change it up the crosses aren't working 

The issue isnt dessers, its our fucking centre haves yet again, county havent opened us up, no team plays slick, fast football and carves us open when they score against us, its fucking simple balls over the top and thats it, 
Our weakness used to be crosses coming in, clement has reduced that by reigning in the fullbacks going so high up the park, and it worked, but now we have centre halves that havent, and will never seem to learn how to comfortably deal with simple defensive issues
Goldson has been awful at them his whole time at rangers and souttar was weak for them at hearts, 

Despite having a few managers of recent years , it always seems strange that none of them see the defensive issues in this team. In particular the central defence .
I have no idea why Goldson is held with such high regard. To me he is an average center back. I am so fed up of us losing cheap goals. Surely it is time to invest into a decent centre half pairing. If we don’t win this league it will be as more down to our inept defence than not signing a number 9. Yet I doubt it will be seen that way.

Yup he's nowhere near good enough. Missed 2 sitters, couldn't stay onside like usual despite taking both well.
An improvement in general play today but still not really much more than doing the basics he's previously failed at. 
He was better today but overall he's a massive weak link in the team and what a chance we have to turn this season into a great one if we upgrade him. 

Undoubtedly, the bastards will complain to UEFA and get given 3 points and try to blame us.  🤬

I think he is a decent all round striker without being exceptional in any one area.
 
The service to him has been particularly poor for the last couple of games, but I also think he is struggling at the moment as we are mainly coming up against teams who are sitting back and limiting space with physical defenders. He doesn’t have the nous to find pockets of space like Roofe; the physicality to dominate and move defenders around like peak Morelos; nor the predatory instinct to just be in the right place at the right time like a Boyd or McCoist.
 
I think we would probably see the best out of him if we could partner him in a 2 with someone that has a bit more physical presence but not sure we are going 2 up top any time soon.
