When someone posted the video of the 3-0 game to us at the scumdome when stephan mahe had an absolute braxy the unbiased commentators just happened to mention about 30 times the 5-1 result the previous game. Probably trying to stop them from greeting in the holy water.
    Fuck them.!

Had to laugh at the blowing out their arse comment. Check out the 4th goal in the 1970 World cup final scored by Carlos Alberto Torres. Near the end of the game in searing heat and he was the right back.
    Torres goal.

This is what baffles me about the whole dreadful saga. Thinking they could ride it out given the number of cases so far was absolutely astounding. As well as despicable.
Any normal company would have immediately held up there hands, condemned the previous management, board etc and publicly stated what actions they would be taking to help the victims and do the right thing. The current company or board would probably get away with minimum punishment apart from financial and try to close that terrible chapter by adopting the plans above.
Obviously the offenders would be further investigated and punished with the enablers and cover up merchants also prosecuted.
By their own actions it looks like they have created a shitstorm that  will lead to dark days for their club ahead, but hopefully some peace and reparations for the victims.

Then of course the present regime could have distanced themselves from that era .Admitted their was a problem that wasn’t under their watch .Set up a fund to compensate and a system to help victims .But no ,seperate entity was born to drag out the saga even longer .

Anyone know any journalists who could be asked why? How about ill Phil or that woman who kids on she’s a journo. She certainly has plenty to say on certain football matters but is quite reticent when it comes to one specific club.

Lets be totally realistic here. If andy walker says on commentary it’s a penalty ( which he did 3 times) then you know it’s a penalty. Broke his heart saying it though.

This is already the biggest sports scandal ever, mate.
In terms of the number of victims, there is little doubt that we are well into the hundreds. As for perpetrators, we’re easily into double figures. As for the number of people within that club who knew and said nothing, God only knows how many over fifty years. The scale is staggering.
Of course, there is another scandal happening here too. The widespread suppression of this huge story by every journalist in this country is an affront to that profession and only heaps further pain on the survivors. The story is widely known, most (if not all) of the criminal cases are complete (which was a popular excuse for not touching the story) and the poor victims are increasingly coming forward to share their pain.
The story virtually writes itself. So why is this story still being suppressed?

He did but couldn't keep it up or improve it. We were in free fall since last season, his heart wasn't in it and that seeped into the players.
Like it or not the way he dumped us will always taint what he achieved, that's the way it goes.

I had to pick from the 60’s team and it could have been Caldow, Greig or Henderson but I can never see past Slim Jim. Pure Class.

The only two I could really think of were Pirlo and Cruyff but you would have to add a touch of say an Iniesta as Baxter could play from behind the halfway line with his passing. If you think Barry Ferguson had a good turn you should have seen the Baxter swivel sending guys totally in the wrong direction.
Honestly a world class talent and when Best and Puskas rated him you know you had a great player. Alex Ferguson described him as the best in Scottish Football.

I don't get this at all. Obviously Pele then would be useless if parachuted into the modern game, but why are you assuming that a player who was among the strongest, fastest and fittest in his day would not have the attributes to be a good fit today if he was born in this time? His athleticism was highly regarded, relative to the time he played. Unless we're just assuming that ALL footballers then happened to be different types of humans to the humans who become footballers now, or unless you think humans have evolved significantly as a species since the 50s, it stands to reason that some players from the past would have been the greats of today if they were born today too.
