As long as we make the CL play off round we are in a good place. It's either defeat, 5M in consolation and pot 1 in the Europa or victory and pot 3 in the CL.
The big carrot is hanging around until we have secured our place in the club world cup which if achieved means an awful amount of cash.

I'm not wanting to play in the Europa because I prefer it to the CL.
I would be happy falling into the Europa as it would significantly improve our chances at getting into the richest club competition we have ever had a chance of getting to.

Just have to hope that King's injury is not a season ending one.
Balogun is a low cost replacement as 4th choice. Hopefully we wont need him.

Winning the league is the big one. Make them try and qualify for the CL the following season.
We go into the season with a decent chance of making the Club World Cup but we will need European football after Xmas I think. That's worth a lot of pennies and prestige which ought to make it easier to recruit.

We have a chance of making it. If we do we have no realistic chance of winning it.
But the cash and prestige are well worth having. Not to mention how much it will upset scum.
