It's misleading.

It says we currently occupy one of the slots.

But we can fall out of it before the teams are locked in.

Edit:

I think...

Record hardly being coherent about it.

Aye, you're right, it mentions that we'd have to avoid a repeat of last season's poor performance and that it'll include the CL winners from 20/21-23/24.

The clubs behind us are at least sides we should be competing with so that's a positive, and I think Brugge are off the back of a poor season too. Although looks like they are into the conference league which probably means they'll amass a decent amount of points. (Shaktar, Zagreb the others noted as being close behind)

It's potentially a bonus to us if we get papped out of the CL qualifiers this year.

We are going to have to get a decent coefficient score this year, and that is far more likely to happen in the Europa than the CL, as we will get scudded.

Dropping down to the Europa and having a decent run would stand us with a good chance of making it to the club world cup.

Would however not be surprised if we make a pittance even if we do make it, with FIFA stuffing most of the cash into their own pockets.

Also not sure if it would be a curse having to fight on another front where the scum get time off mid season.

The prize pot is supposed to be the highest ever for a club competition however it could be the TV rights that make us some real cash

I’m sure it’s held during the summer ?

I've said before that for clubs like ourselves an honourable third place in the CL groups and then parachuted into the EL knockout stages is the ideal scenario.
