WVB 2,560
Make them pay a tenner towards the running of the site if they want to continue to lurk. Or a score, to make sure we get rid of the majority of bheggars.

BRITNEY IS NOT FEELING IT 8,293
What difference does it make if somebody lurks? It's not as if we're doing/saying anything secret or doing anything wrong. As said before lurkers have donated a wad of cash to the site in the past. They become members, dont post ,gather information for other causes,if they have nothing to hide ,why hide? Great if they have donated wads of cash in the past, although i would bet they are Rangers men, unlike the unwashed lurkers im reffering to ,does anyone else not find it very strange that someone would take time in joining a forum,be a member/members for over a year and never have an opinion to say in print regarding any threads
paisley79 0
I probably haven't posted in over a year, yet still continue to read and enjoy the forum. Yes i have an opinion, but on most occasions someone somewhere has posted what i thought and i don't feel the need to write a "I agree" post. Also i live in Australia, and my access to games is restricted. That said i use what you guys say regarding players performance as my guide to who i think should/shouldn't be playing for the club. should i be banned or have my access taken away??? Scott-RFC 308
There are a few posters I would rather were lurkers If people only wish to read then so be it
Bakbear 3,586
I go through phases of posting very little..... and then I don't post at all.... I enjoy coming on and reading what others have to say about Rangers, get the news, the gossip and occasionally follow the game in the match thread. As Paisley 79 said, often others have made the same point as I would have made and there is no need to simply agree. Although other times some people say things so wildly ridiculous that I want to cyber slap them... but then I realize that its only the internet and if someone wants to have a ludicrous viewpoint then they are entitled to do so and there is nothing to be gained by starting a cyber argument I don''t see any harm in lurking

Juno 2
I'd just ban everyone anyway. I mean, we're part of an Establishment here.
j1mgg 3,766
Alot of people join here to find out what is happening or like reading about rangers, and dont always feel the need to post something. I am more worried about the ones that join and just create a bunch of useless threads with no meaning. The site has been running for 4 years or so and i think the men in charge will make changes when seen fit. PS whats to stop a tim from just posting one word replies anyway and getting past your plan? DinViesel 399
Took me over two years to make my first post. I didn't want to post, I just came on to read about the latest "goings on," at Ibrox. Let the lurkers lurk.

Nothing wrong with that. The tims who lurk and don't post are not the problem, its the ones who do post and disguise themselves as Rangers fans. We are not going to ban everyone who doesn't post often just so we can get rid of a few unwashed who are not getting involved in discussions. That would be a massive own goal. Bluepeter9 5,167
Admin do seem to do a good job of getting rid of anyone who causes harm - lurkers, non-posters, and inactive members cause no harm - so just leave them.

The site has been running for 4 years or so and i think the men in charge will make changes when seen fit. PS whats to stop a tim from just posting one word replies anyway and getting past your plan? Like this poll All sites have lurkers, happens on the majority of forums, if people just want to join the site and read the articles etc without the need to post then there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. A lot of the members who don't post or post very little probably look and see that a few people will immediately throw the "Tim" allegations at them as soon as they post something that isn't popular maybe people should stop doing that and if there is anything very sus about a member then report it instead of throwing your allegations onto the site and let the staff do their job and inspect any allegations. Guest
I was a "lurker" on FF for about a year before I made one post. Nothing wrong with just reading, I dont have a high post count and probably wont even have an extremely high one, I read all threads but only reply to ones that I feel I should put my point across. Whats with this "ESTABLISHMENT" Stuff?
TheHammerBear 0
I like coming on here and reading posts and opinions. I only really post on things i feel i can maybe contribute to. This is a great forum compared to others but just because some Lurk and don't post doesn't mean they've got a hidden agenda

Whats with this "ESTABLISHMENT" Stuff? Where have you been hiding? There is a thread somewhere in here all about it, Sellick fans at phone ins etc had been trying to insinuate that the footballing authorities have already decided that we should win the league this year to stop us from going bust, so all the officials etc are going to ensure decisions go for us.
