First round of the season in this morning (off grass). Three wee birdies. Not saying how many double bogeys I had though.:D

I was awful today started 3 7 8 then shanked one the 4th got a 5. Went out in 48 :( and back in 44 so 92 not good but steaded it out from a terrible start. Greens very bumpy.

I injured my back on the course over 2 months ago. The pain has now gone but don't feel ready to swing a club just yet, worried that when I do I will injure it again. The physio reckons it was a disc tear/rupture.

So, has anyone any suffered the same and do you have any advice? Maybe you have some good exercises to strengthen the back or exercises to stretch/prepare the muscles for golf?

The weather is improving and my club had it's first medal of the season today. I'm going nuts not being able to get out there.
