Grae 97
I've met a few randomly over the years. Oleg Kuznetsov in Asda when I was about 11, Ray Wilkins did the prize giving ceremony at my BB's so I got to shake the man's hand when I was around 9 or 10. I met Rod Wallace a few times as we had a friend in common when he was at Rangers. Also met Walter Smith and Alex McLeish in George's Square a few years ago when Walter was Scotland Manager and Alex was Gers Manager. They were both out with their wives but took the time to speak to me and get their photo taken with me. I've still got it somewhere on an old phone, I'll need to find it. Turnberry18 3,204
The strangest encounter I ever had with a (former) Rangers player was when I had my daughter, who must have been about one and a bit and Tom Forsyth wanted us to pose with some desert thing for the Evening Times so he could take a photograph- that was a bit surreal! Gladly the photo didn't make it to the paper! Had it not been a former Rangers I would have told the guy to hop it, but how can yu turn down that man?! Der Hammer 160
Bumped into Barry Ferguson in Carphone Warehouse at the Glasgow Fort and just started gabbing to him,was there with his son,he was quite chatty and i wasn't expecting that to be honest.Met Alan Hutton and Steven Thompson openeing the Rangers Shop at the Fort as well.I also used to work in East Kilbride at my bosses farm and Clyde FC used to train there,my old boss is best mates with Coisty and he let Clyde train at his farm and John Brown was manager and i got to meet Bomber a good few times.Andy Goram was goalkeeping coach at the time too and to see him going through his paces up close was brilliant and his patter is hilarious.Alan Lowing was also on loan at Clyde at that time although he was very quite and just kept his head down.Colin McAdam took my football at school and Tommy Wilson was the ref for our 5 a side games in Easterhouse Sportscentre for a while during the week in the mid 90's.Don't know if Tommy is still at the club.
