sergio 1,199
If I only had one stone to throw, it would be at McGregor, I would be hoping it took a ricochet and took the wee baldy cunts eye out
devref 201
Pretty surprised at some of the ill-feeling towards Alexander.me to considering he has never really let us down when called into the team. a couple of cock ups but then again what keeper has never had them.cant think of a keeper thats never been nutmeged or chipped when stood virtually on the line they have all at some point let the team down just a shame it normally costs us a result. blooberr 16
As much as I will support him for staying when others bailed, Neil Alexander is far and away the worst Rangers goalkeeper I have watched in my 25+ years of going every week to watch the Rangers. The closest to him was Ally Maxwell, who was cover for Goram during the 90's and cost us a double treble with his mess-up in the '94 cup final. As Maxwell was only ever the number 2 however, this makes Alexander the worst number 1 IMO. However you must bear in mind that there are some fantasti <cr>c keepers we are judging him against so it is a little unfair. WHIT!
Only 1 Wullie Johnston 1
Gerry Neef was a bit of a bomb scare at times. I remember him throw the ball but not let it go in time and it bounced 15 feet in the air about three feet in front of him.Sadly he died a year or two back. Can't believe it took 7 pages of this thread for Gerry Neef to get a mention!! Getstiffed 8,863
p.s Wattereus taking goal kicks with a different foot every time in an Old Firm game amazed meHis technical ability for a goalkeeper was tremendous.
Skol 401
Niemi was rotten for Rangers. Turned after to be a very good keeper but done nothing in a Rangers jersey. That's not true. He did go on to become a better keeper but he had a spell at Rangers where he made some unbelievable saves. I remember a gave vs Hearts (SFL3 feeder club) for example where he was outstanding. Glowingmonkeyhead 62
Over a 22 year perios we basically hadWoodsGoramKlosMcGregorPretty good in my books. I like Alexander and he is certainly no dud BUT when we get back lets get a top No1 back in the goal - they are worth 12 points a season.
