I can see Ross County saying yes now

After mad Joe the bigots online threats and Thompson more or less saying he will put pressure on clubs to vote his way i can't see any voting against it now sadly.

They seem to want to vote this new set up through cause Rangers don't like it, if we were in favour they would vote against it that's how crazy this country is now.

Only 10k for about 25% of all the live games in Scotland this season?, We should have bought the sfl tv rights ourselves and sold them on just to keep the greedy mits of the spl away from them.

Can anyone imagine Man utd getting a small amount of money from sky for live tv games while Reading got 20 times more?

This is what we are seeing in Scotland now the biggest supported club getting next to nothing while dross like ICT who would probably be beaten in a ratings battle with aerobics oz style if they were on live tv at the same time walking away with money cause people are watching Rangers games on sky.

We get promoted, we stay promoted. We get promoted again. That's how it works! None of this shit about making us play in essentially the same league against the same teams again. Let's talk about reconstruction when all the bastards who tried to sink us are dead and when that reconstruction is most favourable to us ...

Proposed changes to Scottish football have suffered a setback after it emerged that information required for clubs to vote on the matter has not been provided.

Clubs in the Scottish Premier League and the Scottish Football League are being asked to consider new leagues of 12, 12 and 18 from the present four.

But it is understood that the SFL has still not allowed access to documents.

SFL clubs are due to vote on the proposal next Friday.

Following a meeting between Scottish football's three governing bodies, the SFL had requested assistance from the Scottish Football Association in providing financial due diligence.

That is seen as vital to help clubs decide how to vote on the proposed new set-up, which would result in a merger between the two league bodies.

However, it is believed that, despite requests from the SFA, the SFL has still not allowed access to its financial details.

That information was originally expected last Wednesday.

Why do the clubs need to see the sfl financials?

Surely they mean the Spl financials?

This story just reads like all the others which are laying the blame if reconstruction failure on the sfl and st Mirren.

Not one journalist is willing to challenge the notion that if it does not happen now it never win. IMO that is true, but only because the Spl will not exist for long

Motherwell have become the latest SPL club to say they will vote in favour of the new league

It is believed that all but one Division One club are in favour of the proposal.

When did Motherwell come out and say they would vote yes? I am sure their fans would be unhappy if their board had already decided considering that they are not due to have their fan meeting until Thursday.

Motherwell would be mad to vote yes. As they are in second place, they would lose the most financially. They are already struggling because of the loss if rangers money this season. This has not been replaced by selling more season tickets, in fact their attendances are down this season

Motherwell are supposed to be having a meeting with their fans on Friday to discuss this are they not?

Where are you seeing this?

That is my point, they are due to hold a meeting with fans on Thursday.

A poster in this topic a 11ish last night included in their post that Motherwell had already decided.

Just like you, I was asking surely not, since the fan meeting has not been held

If the SPL continue with this shocking 12 - 12 - 18 setup, Rangers have to make a stand against it, because we are the club that will be hit the hardest. We will be in the bottom league of 18, playing all the teams in the present 3rd div again, giving them a second bite at the Rangers cherry. Our only course off action as a club, as we are not allowed to vote on this new setup, is for the Rangers support to only go to home games, we have to remove the revenue stream we bring to the away grounds, the club might not be allowed to intervene, but our massive fan base sure as hell can be major players in all off this. :superally:

Ive listened to radio scotland the last two nights and enjoyed it tbh.

There are loads of questions nobody seems to ask. We know the spl clubs attendances are down, their incomes are down, so could someone tell me how redistrabution of funds meaning teams in the spl getting less in prize money than they currently do coupled with fans not going to games could possibly work for them?

We also know that nearly 90pc of fans iirc dont want the set up on offer, so say even more turn away then what? I used to want to see teams go under but for us to prosper here in scotland, we need a half decent premier league.

I really dont see how the tariers, aberdeen or motherwell are going to sell this crazy idea to fans who are not bothering their holes going now in whats apparently "the most exciting spl in years"

Hopefully comments made by thompson about pressure should be applied to clubs not in favour makes those said clubs dig their heels in deeper. Absolute disgrace. Dundee united and the likes of Aberdeen are talking like they are big clubs. It is a fucking embarrassment.

The SPL infighting was always the phoney war, clubs like Ross County and St Mirren where always going to get bullied into line. The real fight for Rangers is or at least it should, is trying to get the Chairmen of the SFL clubs to vote against this monstrosity of a reconstruction. The SFL is where our influence lies if we have any influence that is?
