one55 1,510
I'll let Rangers use my dug. All I ask is for x1 (ONE) free pie for each home league match. We could get a nobody manager for cheap and he'd still be better than Ally.
The Godfather 71,895
Many would welcome Smith back but I doubt he'd come back not least because he was the one who made the case for Ally to get the gig and I can't see him being the one to replace him. orange&blue92 1,284
If we offer Ally a place on the board, do we have to terminate his current contract? Or just offer a new one as a board member? Get Terry Butcher on the scene! He wouldn't accept these performances and keep playing players out of position.
dalton 1,192
I agree with the godfather that the next manager has to be un-connectedWe need a total revamp a clean slate and a managerthat with a track record of playing younger guys and bringing them through. The time has come time for the board to act like one

Copland bear 7,966
Unless Ally and his coaches walk, then they are going nowhere..We can't afford to payoff these contracts, and that's the sorry state we are in.Would love the Laudrup brothers, but we could not afford them.I think Billy Davis would be a good shout. Jonok 1,245
Smith would read the riot act, and I guarantee you we'd be challenging the bheggers next season under Smith. He doesn't suffer fools. This
Jelavic191 4,448
The one I'm thinking about wouldn't go down too well on here , so I'll just wait till we're actually looking for one , before I put my head on the block. I have a suggestion too that's like that I wonder if it's the same guy !?

lutonblue 1,974
If its on a budget then for me jimmy calderwood or Neil Warnock would be ideal short termers. If its a decent budget then we should be selling this club to a manager with a decent rep and one who can promote within but also has a good record at recruiting players etcone thing with warnock is he wouldn't allow his team to just roll over ! gj923 1,457
Would it be mad to suggest instead of paying them off in one go you put them on notice that there contracts are ending and they don't need to turn up each day. Then get another "fresh" manager who could invigorate the team along with the support.Yes it would be an extra expense however how many extra supporters would it bring in? Then get another "fresh" manager who could invigorate the team along with the support.Yes it would be an extra expense however how many extra supporters would it bring in?No...its known as gardening leave, although I believe Craig Levein took the SFA to an industrial tribunal over it. They wanted to pay him monthly for the remainder of his notice period, should he accept a job the payments would stop. I suspect his notice period is now over and that's why he's re-appeared at Hertz.I'd write into their contracts 1 month notice period, not as if there's a shortage of managers out there if they don't like it don't take the job. FSM 20,892
Yes it would be an extra expense however how many extra supporters would it bring in?Depends who it is.Louis Van Gaal = remaining 30,000 STs sold.Jimmy Calderwood = 7 extra STs sold (to Jimmy's family members). Muz333 359
The weird thing is this is the most exciting season for a while with the teams in it and the last leg on our journey back up, however with Ally at the head of it the excitement gets lost to the turgid football. Now a fresh faced manager this season would get most fans fired up again.

james_85 656
Billy Davies would be who I want, he worked with fairly low budgets at both Derby and Forest and I am sure he would be more than willibg to come
Creampuff 22,628
Realistically the next manager will be McCall or McInnes. If not them then it'll be Calderwood, Davies, or a former player or manager.
