14 Football Supporters Arrested.

Recommended Posts

If found guilty the club should ban them for life. There's no place at Rangers for the idiots. As for those posting about what the fans of a certain other club have been up to it has nothing to do with this, we don't need idiots dragging us down to their level.

Fuck off ya boring bastard.

HULLO HULLO!

Love all those looking to blame the police as if these arrests are the result of nothing.

These idiots are doing nothing but bringing the reputation of the club into harms way and all many can do is either blame the police or dabble in 'but what about THEM?'

How about looking at ourselves and maybe trying to prevent this kind if idiocy happening in the first place.

This. These twits acting all ghoon brigade with their 'we can do what we want, and we'll decide who you do and don't arrest' attitude had this coming. If some of them are shitting themselves now they should have thought about what they were doing at the time.

And rightly so.

It is beyond anti-social, even Papish, to physically wrestle a man from police possession. End of.

I've been following our fine club, home and away, for years; Berwick to Barcelona and Montrose to Manchester. Over the past few years, thoughx our support has been infested with Stone Island-daft neds. They're embarrassing and this emphasised that.

Their ages is absolutely zero shock to me. The 49 year-old must be a proud individual.

EDIT For what it's worth, I was there and sat right next to it all.

The 'Union Bairns' did a wonderful impersonation of a Playschool Posse, couldn't go to the toilet or concessions without 20-30 of them walking in single file past the 'big polis men', only thing they didn't do was hold hands ................

Maybe not worthy of a banning order, this time, but neither was it worth getting involved with the drunk being ejected to cause a Mexican Standoff with the Polis. Nothing to do with the game where MacLeod score a fantastic overhead kick.

They weren't there for the football, only to enhance their own reputation. one we do not need or want, leave it in the playground................

Yep. I keep saying it; these groups could be great for the Rangers support. They do well in stopping our games being like morgues. But their attitude stinks. Their wee groups are more important to them than the club. We don't want for people disappearing up their own arses these days, and forgetting that things should be about Rangers and not about them.

Wonder what some of you would have made of our support in the older days. We had a great support back in those days, where we all looked after each other.

Even arseholes that did not deserve help?

Calling yourself a Rangers supporter does not mean you can do what you want. It is an honour to be a part of our great club. These idiots are just stupid wee neds and do not behave in the correct Rangers manner.

It doesn't say in the article that it was Rangers fans. So why is this thread titled that it was?

Because they were so called Rangers fans.

Sad that these (mostly) wee boys think they can determine who the police arrest. Well, that backfired spectacularly when the police chapped their doors. 14 of them paying for heir foolish stubbornness.

If they had let things be the drunk guy may have got a night in the cells to sleep it off. Now they all face a criminal record and football banning orders. doh

I hate this attitude. You're almost encouraging them.

We're talking about non-educated delinquents here, not hardened and seasoned bluenoses.

Wee interesting factoid. I've spoken to 8 of the 14 people who were arrested following the events of the Livingston game.

8 of the 14 people that were arrested, weren't even at the Livingston game, yet the police battered on their door, lifted them and took them away, spoken to the mum of another who was lifted, her son was attending the game with her and had been behaving, they left at half time because her son became ill, this boy too was also one of the 14 arrested.

So basically the police have went around "gathering information" and they've wrongly lifted 9 people.

Police Scotland, what an admirable service you do for Scotland, bravo chaps, bravo.

Yes, that's why the police surround them with cameras waiting for them to step out of line.

A fishing exercise that only happens to our fans.

Nobody suffered hur,t lose was even offended but we have 14 nice soft easy arrests that will be supported by the jacobite courts and press.

The lads will not know there rights and will be easily bullied into accepting some trumped up charge.

They will not understand that this will be used against them for the rest of their lives.

They will not have the courage to insist on their day in court with a jury deciding there case rather than some tarrier pig.

Mean while on the other side of town a taig that battered a Dutch police man was given a tour of the piggery and paraded like a hero at half time.

That's your fairer more equal National Socialist Scotland for you.

God help the poor England fans tomorrow night.

You've honestly got to wonder what the police would have done back in the 70s and 80s.

We should be sticking up for ourselves. Some of the comments in this thread are fucking embarrasing.

They weren't ambushed or attacked. A steward went to remove one person that they believed was worse for wear, then the police had to go and remove the person as he never left when asked by the steward.

In the 70s the police would have arrested the bloke and if a bunch of wee neds tried to prevent them they would have sorted it in less than a minute by force, any way they wanted. And the rest of the Gers fans would have applauded the comedy show.

There was a kind of primitive respect then as the police seldom got involved unless it was a serious disturbance. Each side knew the rules and I never saw an episode as embarrasing as the above being allowed to develop for long in all my times at games in Scotland.

Real hard men and majority of surrounding fans in 70s would have been embarrassed to have supported wee dickheads or idiots like that. The police also knew that and let the crowd mostly police themselves as long as it did not spill on to pitch or disrupt game.

Police and neds of today equally to blame for that farce above.....

This ties in with what the apprentice was saying, he was at the game, wasn't drinking didnt get involved with pulling the guy back from the police, got arrested for singing secterian songs but cant think what one. There is a good chance he will lose his job. For singing for fucks sake. Im not excusing every case but the handwringers are condemning people when they dont know the context or person. Do you know the 17 year old from Bishopbriggs? decent wee guy

I really don't see what makes them a bunch of neds?

For standing? Singing?

Wishing banning orders on fellow bears for altercations with stewards and screws :anguish:
