Hoping to hear he digs his feet in and doesn't leave but why would you. We're all fed up of the Club could you imagine being in Lewis's shoes, being shoehorned out of your favoured position by two imposters. It's a good chance for him to get his head down and work without the shambles around him. The boy should have been our future, sadly our future has been fucking ransacked and this is just another sad and sorry anecdote.

No surprise especially with promotion now looking unlikely.

Very sad to lose one of the few players worth keeping, but I think he's had some overhype as well, wouldn't shock me to see him back in Scotland two or three years down the line as has happened so many times.

think he would be back if he had went to a larger club but at brentford he will get games and a chance to get noticed by a larger club

Sad reality of it all is that the Club is skint and on it's arse.

The board are unwilling to give power to King/The Three Bears in return for cash.

£1M for a young player who has only played in the lower Scottish leagues is a pretty decent fee.

The folk on here saying things like "Accept nothing less than £3-5M..." - My response: What fucking planet do you live on?

Yes, Macleod is our best player but he's not the be all and end all. We've lost bigger players and always managed to bounce back.

quick point.... the board are not unwilling to give Dave King control. He has made his offer in a way that it is IMPOSSIBLE for the board to accept without a shareholder vote (like the one that just failed at the AGM).

the board can NOT accept the king or trios proposals in their current form. It is that damn simple.

The positive is we don't have a lot of debt. The negative is we are no where near being sustainable, we needed investment of £8m based on being promoted, increase in prices and increasing number of ST holders.

The last accounts were for a time where we had regular attendances of 40k, yet still we were losing money.

I can understand why people fear the worst.

There is no positive here. We are losing our best player, we are getting relative buttons in return, particularly given recent spl transfers and his immense talent.

Also, Lewis, why brentford? They are a mid table championship club at best.

Everything about this deal is like a knife in the back

Agreed Oz. Some saying he's not the next Messi or whatever of course not. But what he represents is our future. He's a shining light in a cunt of a 3 years. Without guys like him we are left with washed up journeymen and little hope of promotion. It's gutting and a sign of the trouble we are in.
