hammer93 15,057
Remember going to East End Park on a Wednesday night back in the late 80's . We won , what could have been a tricky match , quite convincingly 4-1 , I think. Anyway , their No10 was a stand out and remember looking up his name the next day. Ian McColl it was . A few months later , Souness did sign him , and though it didn't quite work out for him , he's one of the few players that's impressed me when playing against us.I remember being at that game I'm sure it was the league cup and Dunfermline had just beaten the tims 2-1 in the league, we were expecting a tough game but ran out easy winners. Skyson1872 2,923
Jon Daly Seriously probably Templeton, was buzzing when we got him. Had arguments every day in school about how he was better than Johnny Russell

Laudrup1984 25,100
I don't get the question! I think it's players you admired from afar whilst at other teams before they played for us. However you always felt that they were food enough for us and would have liked for them to one day to join us, and it just so happened that they did in fact join us.In that respect i'd probably say Kanchelskis. It didn't really work out for him IMO, despite a few glimpses, but I was always a fan of his sheer raw pace and ability to just breeze past defenders with consummate ease. Prso's performances in the Champs League also gave me a bit of a semi!
WeirFleckNRothen 1,789
When we signed Templeton, I was delighted.I always recall Hearts coming to Ibrox a couple of times, maybe around 2010/11, and he tore Whittaker a new one. He absolutely smoked him and I specifically remember thinking that I've seen Messi twice, but was more impressed by Templeton's performances against us.Plus, the night before he signed, he scored what should have been the winner at Anfield. In reality, he's been an inconsistent disappointment. Whether that's down to the management, Templeton himself, I don't know. I thought he would do some damage, especially in the Second and Third Divisions, but he made little impact. I don't think certain heavy or artificial pitches helped, but he hasn't delivered and is now out of the picture, big time. He's on a fortune, too. I was terrified at that game but looking back on it and then having the misfortune of seeing Whittaker at right back week in week out, Whittaker's inability to defend may have made Temps look better than we thought! In saying that Temps clearly has ability but I just don't know why it hasn't really worked. Probably a combination of all your reasons I suppose. He really should be head and shoulders above everyone at this level though.
Captain Hilts 12,819
Healy bit of a let down though, think he should've just done the 6 month loan deal and left it at that

Dietspam 733
Billy Dodds was one. Used to watch him score goals for Aberdeen and Dundee Utd. Was great when we signed him, always liked him. But he's a real bell end these days.
