It's a double punishment.I've seen players red carded when here have been genuine attempts at a tackle and the forward's feet have just been too quick. Doesn't matter if defenders know the rule or not. Are we seriously trying to discourage tackling in the box altogether?Not at all, for me punishment fits the crime.
