Templeton's Injury.

Rangers’ forgotten man David Templeton has been ruled out for around a further six weeks, with the injury sustained against St Mirren on 7th of August worse than previously thought.

The 26-year old winger sustained a knee ligament injury at Ibrox during the 3-1 win over Ian Murray’s men, and had initially
been ruled out for around two months, but unfortunately the unpredictable nature of ligament or muscle damage injuries has led to an extended stay on the sidelines for the former Hearts man.

Current estimates for his absence from a source close to the player have him out until ‘around Christmas’ which could mean the likelihood is that he has played his last football for this calendar year.

The attacker, who also erased his Twitter account recently, has failed to truly maintain a level of consistency since his move to Ibrox, but with Rangers currently not in the most emphatic form of Warbs’ reign, he could have been a useful alternative option to deploy.

It appears though that this will not be the case.

I've critisized him in the past but he would be another option if he was fit, I would imagine he will be here at least the rest of the season so hopefully he can kick on from his injury and force his way into the first team.

Not convinced he's got what it takes but he could do a job for us this season.

It's like groundhog day with him. Comes in, plays well, gets injured. Out for months, gets back to fitness...and expectation levels increase (as there is a player in there somewhere). Comes back gets a game or two....out injured. And repeat.

Sad thing is we're lumbered with him until end of the season now.

Sorry, I know all that sounds a bit harsh, but he has cost us dearly, with very little return.

The only season he has ever started consistently and played consistently was when on loan at Stenhousemuir in the bottom tier of scottish football. I really thinkif he could find some heart and courage he could still play at that level, although the artificial grounds in that division might work against him.

The Scottish Prodan. Would loved him to have starred for us, sadly not to be.
