This Tav Midfield Thing

Is never going to work. Tav is never a midfielder. He creates nothing, wins nothing and gives the ball away more often than not. 

He's had sufficient game time to show he can't play the position so why doesn't MW try an actual midfielder in midfield.

Harry Forrester might not be having the best of seasons but he isn't being played enough to show what he can do. Maybe if he actually got as much of a run in the side as Tav he might turn out to be quite decent. I'm betting he wouldn't be any worse, would score some goals and create chances for others. He's shown here and there that he can sometimes be a bit special. 

I think playing a midfield player in midfield would be worth a shot. Maybe the manager should think about it

He's fucking shite in midfield,He's getting shoehorned in there because he's one of Warburtons blue eyed boys.He can't defend so play him in midfield,it'll be fucking Keirnan in midfield against the scum... mind you he couldn't be any worse than Halliday in there.

Not so much managers game plan, rather we need balance in midfield and unfortunately Tav is best to provide that.

we have no fight, no character and not one single leader on the field.  we need a Gough, Butcher or Amo who know to lift a player when their heads drop, Kiernan, for example today, and who will push players when our backs are to the wall.  We are a team void of character and leaders.

i remember the days of Gough orbButcher playing bloodied, these pooftas we have now would be out for six months if they ever needed stitches, shitebags to a man.

The reason Tav gets a game in the midfield is down to the managers woeful signing policy last summer.

He signed 5 new midfielders and 4 of them are perpetually injured while the 5th lasted a few weeks at the club before he left.

Bottom line is actually our whole midfield is failing to deliver as a collective unit. Im not one for dweling on statistical analysis but a quick check on goals scored/assists makes for grim reading

I would of thought Matt Crooks would of been getting 15 / 20 mins here and there to build up his fitness in the holding role and perhaps look to put Halliday in a more advanced role.

My worse nightmare would Be if I see the team sheet on Saturday and we go 4-3-3 with Tavernier holt and Haliday in midfield and just remember what a cluster fuck it was the last time they played together the problem Tavernier isn't a midfield player and defensively what he offers going forward doesn't compensate for his defensive lapses for me Hodson any day.

He has been a huge let down this season. He has went from the highest goal scoring defender in our history to a passenger. Needs dropped until he can prove himself again. 

Replace him with Forrester. Don't know why he doesn't play more often as he is more of a threat going forwards. Surely MW isn't sacrificing a midfield spot to fit in Tavs based solely on the fact he is a free kick specialist? Horrible thought.

I thought we'd won a watch with Tav, but I'm now starting to see why Wigan decided to sell him to us. His crossing and shooting is erratic, to say the least.

Haliday getting a free pass is a myth. Gets slated when its deserved which unfortunately is more often than not these days
