Darryl Duffy. Came through the ranks and as far as I know only made one appearance, a cup game against a lower league team. Sold to Falkirk, ended up down at Bristol Rovers. No idea where he is now.

Wow what a depressing list. Does make me wonder though,  why we go to a great deal of trouble scouting and nurturing talent all the way tbrough the academy only to coach them down the crapper... when we can simply buy exciting young talent THEN coach them into the crapper,  saving 4 or 5 years of time.

Kirk Broadfoot  I would love to have his example of a boys dreams coming true. Being a reasonable C B at St Mirren, then S W S decides to turn you into a stalwart R B who turns out in Champions League game, wins titles, plays in a European final. Then scores on his international debut wow

Became a great Ranger but came from obscurity :isay:

Chris Vinnecombe, lad was a very good player and the England U21s captain, just didn't do enough to unseat Stuart Munro from the left back position, and when Davie Robertson signed it was curtains for him.

PS. anyone remember another good, young full back called Tom Cowan? Think he played V Aberdeen in the 91 Championship decided at Ibrox, think he ended up at Huddersfield.
