Shame he isnt here for the game, even if its for moral and professional support. But, if it speeds up the recovery process then thats for the best. It was a good point that was picked up by someone the other night, that Cardoso has a flaw when an attacker is running towards him; it's notable some of the goals against us have been of that nature. Hopefully he can deal with that more, and in a young defender he has to work at his game, just like players in other positions. Overall our defence is better than it was last season, by quite a distance. Alves is a huge loss tomorrow, not what we would have wanted by any means; losing both him and Wallace for this match does us no favours; but hopefully the two replacing them won't affect us too greatly.
