Declan John is becoming vastly overrated. Final ball is poor, can’t defend and all he has is the wee jink inside. Been poor since the Hamilton game.

I like John, his set piece delivery is very good and he’s fast as fuck and good going forward. Still poor defensively though and needs to work on that but he’s young so he has time.

Think John is excellent in attack, drives at players and gets into dangerous positions so often. As with Tav, his downside is his defensive ability. However, John edges it ahead of Wallace for me.

I'm not a huge fan of Wallace but for me he's more reliable than John doing the bread and butter stuff.

Still feel the same in the sense that Wallace, John and Tav are decent going forward and assisting/creating goals - but I'd rather have 2 defensively sound options instead who can stay in position, mark, tackle and prevent crosses from coming in/opposition attackers getting into dangerous areas.

Wallace is woeful going forward as his final ball is shite. The other two can cause damage. We need new backs but I would jettison Wallace before John.

I agree his final ball when he's at the bye-line is shite, but he has good pace and can get up and down the wing aswell as cut inside and link-up.

Wallace for me as he has the better footballing brain of the two. I think our new formation would allow him to attack more.

I'd also take the captaincy off him as he isn't a natural leader and it has become a burden upon him.
