Misteral 2,932
Being realistic, a good second in the league, beating them at least once and getting to the SC final (anything can happen in a final but a win would be excellent). That would be acceptable to me.
Courtyard Bear 41,357
Finishing second, beating the scum twice (3 if we get them in the cup) and a Scottish Cup Win.
James Rolle 514
> Finishing at least 2nd > If 2nd, the current points gap narrowed > Taking a minimum of 3 points from them > Scottish Cup Final at least Thats how I would define acceptable progress and if we achieve that, Murty gets a new contract. Finish in single digits behind them, 4 points minimum in the two old firm games and win the Scottish Cup. Be a good platform to build on for the summer whilst we get a new manager in. If that happens then doubt very much we'll be getting a new manager mate. Will be Murtys job and rightly so.
cushynumber 25,178
It feels like a good window, but the only thing that counts is the results on the park.
bluenose244 2,622
Winning the cup and finishing second is the bare minimum. Ideally I would like to see us kick on now, take them to the wire and really mount a challenge. Seems unrealistic to some but I've seen it before, get that gap down to single figures and watch their wee inferiority complex kick in, then throw in the Old Firm games to be played and anything is possible. 35 Yard Dangerman 3,479
As a few people have said, 2nd place with single points separating, do them once or hopefully twice and the Scottish Cup. It would be some achievement considering the first half of this season and the shite we've had to put up with. However, until its mathematically impossible that we canny win the league then fuck it, I'm continuing to beleive we can!

If Murty is revamping our team with his own touch, then I can only see us dropping less points than the taigs this second half of the season. They are more than there for the taking. If we end up second, I think it will be closer than the 11 point gap just now. (Maybe I need to stop drinking)
offminorthreat 1,467
Last minute winner from the Buffalo in Cup final against the taigs, Broonaldo crunching his baws on the post as he tried to clear the winning goal off the line and breaks his legs in the process, the thumb lashing out in anger at losing and taking swings at the polis and getting arrested and gaoled for it and our Cumdog ripping his shirt off in celebration after the final whistle to reveal a King Billy tattoo all over his back. Anything else will be a let down.
To Be A Ranger 4,032
We're 11 points behind and to not drop further behind would be acceptable. Throw in a Scottish Cup win and ill be reasonably optimistic for the following season.
SeparateEntityMyArse 54,263
A fair few saying win the SC. I know we played well and deserved to win last month at their place. But ANY time we go there we are rightly underdogs. We're simply not expected to win (by bookies), rightly so given so many circumstances. So for those saying win the Scottish cup I take it that includes if we're drawn away to them. Which imo makes it harsh to expect to beat them and say it's a failure of a season if we don't. Essandoh 21,327
Finish behind them by single figures, get to the Final of the Scottish Cup or win it should they be eliminated before it, and beat them once. Albeit none of that matters or is possible if we keep dropping points at home to shit teams.
The Specky Forum Organiser 66,053
Best case scenario is beat them, finish within single digits and win the Scottish Cup Maybe a bit more realistic but just generally find more consistency, beat the diddy teams on a regular basis whilst maintaining our level of performance in the bigger games. Cedrick 8,048
Got to beat them , I’m for the first time in 2 seasons going into the ibrox tie fully expecting us to win

Those cunts will drop loads of points when the bottles start tumbling off the wall. Now how to deal with the refs, that's another problem. Pish, they've lost once all season there is nothing to suggest we can overturn an 11 point deficit or even get close to doing it. That last line is something I'd expect to see on one of their forums. Orange and Blue 1,173
Beating the tarriers in both old firm games and finishing 2nd close to them. Also winning the Scottish cup would be acceptible. Ideally win the league.
Chineseboy 1,563
Not sure, but fully expect us to win the league next season. I think we have got a good team now. Murty has to get the formation right though. 3-5-2 is a must.

james_85 656
finish in 2nd place - get points gap to under 10 which would need to include an OF win. Scottish Cup win turn Ibrox back into a fortress
simplythebest 11,453
End up comfortable in 2nd with as small a gap from 1st as possible and win the Cup or get very close to it Desperately need to find a way to beat teams like Hamilton and Dundee more often than not as well
Inigo 32,674
2nd place and more points for the half than timmy. Beating timmy at least once. A good run in the SC as well. Depends what the draw is as to what will constitute a good run.
