Why he was punted in August I do not know, Gerrard should pay his wage he's looking for and he's had final say.

Club that suffers now, need to make a statement with him n sell in January if we can recoup money.

Imagine he signs a pre contract in January, you think he's pish now, wait until the crucial month of the season.

We need to sell players when their value is highest. Ross Wilson needs to earn his coin now.

Are you saying Gerrard should be paying him out of his own picket or should be demanding he gets that wage? Both equally as ridiculous.

Obviously SG really does not fancy a CH pairing without Goldson which I have to agree with.
He was the managers & a lot of fans poty last season.
He’s rarely injured or suspended, he’s the constant that the team needed/needs.
His form has dipped yes & he’s not signed an extension (yet) which afaik is quite common with pro footballers.

It’s relentless isn’t it?

Are we in a position financially to let the likes of the underperformed goldson run down his contract whilst trying to hold us to ransom?

Financially obviously not.

Should have been sold, more so when players are at their highest value. Morelos another.

In fact Castore is a good point, where is that money and how much have we made? Have we not sold circa 500,000 units of merchandise since they came in?

The accounts basically mean it’s CL and a player sale to put us soundly into profit or it means 6-7 player sales and we start from scratch again.

The magnitude of the league this season can’t be understated, and Gerrard has to know this that if he wants a fair crack at the CL and money for players then win the league

What sort of money do we reckon Gerrard and his backroom staff are on ?

Club has been run by clowns for 20 years , zero business sense.

No business on the planet spends far more than they bring in and survives , its basic stuff.

I wouldnt let any of them run a market stall…..

You wouldn't let the owners of the current champions run a market stall?

I have zero faith in the board and havent for years. We have been run at a loss for years and even when we started off at zero debt they fucked it up again.

No business survives with higher losses every year.

They canny win. They took some calculated risk by not selling below current market value (Morelos) and giving us a team capable of winning the league. They managed the club into a position where champions League qualification would have plugged a big part of the hole this year but we fucked it. The current board have went above and beyond imo.

Nobody wants to invest in Scottish football and the idiots who run the game are incapable of getting a decent TV/sponsorship deal to bring in revenue. We need to spend money on players to compete against the them.

How do you propose we compete on the park and turn a profit?

It's is, but it's equally mental you saying it's not as bad as you expected.

We lost £16m last year. 6 Europa League games last season behind closed doors at roughly £1m per game in ticket sales we lost out on, no matchday revenue for the entire season, we added to the squad and didn't sell anyone.

What were you expecting?

The current board inherited a mess. They may have made some poor descicions, but they've stumped up when we needed them to. They've put in tens of millions that they'll probably never get back.

Over £20m losses as most people suggested. Coupled with nobody seeing that a a positive result or not as bad.

This is interesting:

CASH

The Group has worked to maintain its cash despite disruption to its activities by:-

• changing of our merchant providers, to improve the terms on our season ticket cash flows, supplying cash up front instead of across the season.

• utilisation of government schemes and assistance, including payment deferrals for VAT and employment taxes and the job retention scheme for non-playing staff.

• the deferral of wage payments for high earning staff.

Who isn't getting their payments and if its players, is this impacting on performance?
