RIP Andy Goram

Recommended Posts

Glad he at least went knowing he was the best Rangers goalie ever. Quite an accolade.

IMO we had the second best goalie in the world for three years or so. Not often we can say such things about any position.

A genuine world class talent for a while.

His reflexes were matched by his anticipation. Always seemed to be ahead of the game cause he knew where the striker was going to put it. He was a leader too, even amongst a team of leaders. Great with his feet also, at a time when goalies were only just having to be, because the pass back rule came in. And don't let anyone tell you he wasn't good with crosses. Complete myth. He handled his six yard box very well.

A brilliant shot stopper, but a compete goalie too. In terms of playing ability he had no weaknesses at his peak. Only reason he wasn't at the top for longer was his off-field weaknesses.

The good memories he left are priceless.

Even though we knew he was very ill and it was only a matter of time ,This is still such a shock .

Definitely the best goalie Iv seen play for us and a major reason we won 9 in a row .

So sad his time on the earth was cut so short 🥲

RIP The Goalie

We did with The Goalie in early 90’s.

A million percent. 92/93 season he was unreal.
